USS Hornet (CV-8): From the Doolittle Raid and Midway to Santa Cruz (Legends of Warfare: Naval, 10)

Valuable reference and loads of great photos all in one place. However, it would have been perfect if color sketches and drawings were included. Hornet CV-8 operated in a B&W world so seeing ship in color drawings would have been great. If you're considering this book for building models, it's not helpful for color references.

I met 8 of the Doolittle Raiders back in 2006. I have a 1/200 scale model of the USS Hornet to build. This will help.

Some plans of the ship would not have gone amiss. These might have replaced a couple of pictures of Hornet in her death throes; there are more than enough of these.I've doffed a star in protest.
