ASURION 4 Year Housewares Protection Plan ($300 - $349.99)

My product failed to work any longer and I filled out the info needed for my protection plan and they emailed me a gift card to replace the product within about 5 minutes of completing the form. Very easy, simple and quick!

Had an issue with our Breville coffee maker with Grinder. Although I had Asurion protection, I called Breville to see if they could resolve issue. After a 1/2 hour call with Breville, they end result would be that they coffee maker would have to be repaired. Went to Asurion. Over the internet they decided a refund was better than getting the product fixed. Email response said that they would send a prepaid UPS shipping label. I packaged the product and ship back. Once package received on their end in the mid-west, an Amazon credit would be applied. I packaged coffee maker and dropped off at local UPS Store in California. Two hours after I dropped off package, credit on my Amazon account was applied. Asurion well worth it on this case.

Asurion's protection was definitely worth it in the long run, as it quickly provided me with an Amazon credit for my air conditioner that I had purchased several years ago. They were able to quickly assess my needs and give the credit within minutes after the call. If you are considering whether or not to add an Asurion protection to your product, I would recommend you add it on after you weigh the pros and cons of whether the cost of the plan itself vs your product is worth adding on beforehand. Otherwise, I can definitely say with certainty that they do provide the services they advertise.

I bought this insurance for an ac I purchased because they seem to break quickly. And it did stop working. The only glitch was I couldn’t do the insurance reimbursement online and had to call but not a big deal.

ASURION is the most outstanding warranty extension company that I have ever dealt with! You guys have devised a system that is so simple, so straightforward and so expeditious!… It is unmatched. GOOD JOB!

I'd bought this insurance contract on a Chinese-made dehumidifier for about 20% of the purchase price, because such appliances are virtually assured to fail prematurely. The manufacturer didn't offer any ready way to claim under the 1-year warranty but Asurion did. Even though Asurion did try to deflect me to the seller initially (online), a call to Asurion's customer service number surfaced a pleasant and helpful person and a refund to my Amazon account, via gift card, while I was still on the phone. This shouldn't really be necessary and the coverage isn't cheap but it does work and is definitely "worth it" on such products.
