Don’t waste your money
Agree with another reviewer. The packaging has a warning stating “Cancer and reproductive harm” and includes a website for the warning. I should have read the reviews first because this is not mentioned in the description or images that I could find, but I was in a hurry to get these in time for a birthday party. I won’t use them, and they aren’t returnable. Save your money. Don’t buy these. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Don’t soak too long
Well- these pearls do tend to disintegrate faster than other pearls. They do not come with instructions. Since tapioca pearls are so different in structure, they should all come with instructions. I have found that if these pearls are rinsed well to start, soaked for about 30 minutes, and then cooked until they are nearly translucent-10 to 20 minutes or so - they will hold up in a pudding and provide nice chewy pearls. Some will fall apart, but enough will be in tact.

Thick - gummy and takes forever to cook
The tapioca was too large and took almost one and a half hours to cook. Even then, it was not thoroughly cooked when I tasted it. I ended up throwing the entire dessert away. It was horrible—thick, gummy, and a huge mess. I added water repeatedly, but it remained so thick that you could cut it with a knife. It was a waste of money for me, and I had to toss all of it out. I will not buy it again.

Too LARGE
The pearl size is too large for my preference. The large balls remained doughy even after hours of pre-soaking and cooking properly.

WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm
This product has a cancer and reproductive harm warning on the label which is only on the physical product. This warning is not shown in the product photo or online description. It is misleading and shocking to see such a caution on a food product and not have any advance warning before purchase. It is deceptive advertising and why does something like 100% tapioca starch cause cancer and reproductive harm??
