Vented Hard Hat , Full Brim Style, Ratchet Suspension, Class C, Ergodyne Skullerz 8973,White

In my job the company does provide hard hats because certain areas I have to inspect or investigate requires their use. However, you never know who else has worn them and they are NOT comfortable at all. Often the inside head netting isn't installed properly (one poked and cut my scalp OUCH)! So I invested in this SKULLERZ by Ergonomics! Absolute excellent, lightweight, super durable, super comfortable vented hard hat! (Now all my supervisors want one! LOL!) The inside head netting is cushioned and coated with a durable sweat absorbent microfiber fabric. It sits well on the head, is very easily adjustable and can even be worn over other hats if need be! It's hard and durable though lighter weight than those that the company uses. Worth the money invested! I would love to have a brighter headlamp but the one that comes on it is sufficient and has come in very handy in my night shift job of security inspections of electric and water facilities. The hard hat does come with a built in secondary bracket to install another head lamp on the back of the helmet though I have yet to try that. The small switch on the top of the headlamp was at first a little hard to locate and to turn on but that just comes with time. The head lamp does have two settings. Otherwise, the SKULLERZ is an excellent, comfortable, lightweight but super durable helmet! It protected my head from a falling tree limb just recently so I can say with experience: IT DOES IT'S JOB!

I love this hard hat. Ive always used whatever the company got for me. I switched companies and they got the cheapest msa brand hard had that money could buy. Why the msa would do its job it was not comfortable and sat really high on my head adjusted all the way. Being an electrician I liked the fact the hard hat had a fitted light like the klein hard hat for 60% of the price roughly. The light works well but isnt as nice as the klein. I have purchased the klein light because other reviews said it fits. Its rechargeable. I do like the light is high beam flood light and off. I dont need blinking or red lights etc. Just would rather have rechargeable. So i hope the klein fits. Ill keep you informed. Overall the hat is very comfortable and light. Fits low on my head. Worn a lot of hard hats and this is the most comfortable Ive ever worn.

Great comfort and protection, very rigid shell. Removable padding is easy to clean and wicks sweat well. Headlamp is a Klein that is very bright and reliable, however takes AAA cells - just get rechargeables. My only wish is that there was an internal powered fan option for this Texas heat.

Great hat for summer with the vents, super comfortable better than most when it comes to suspension. It's very light which is a plus but the downside is it sounds and feels like a hard hat you would buy for a child. The light is a nice added feature but realized when the seasons change and winter comes around, I likely won't be wearing a lite hard hat with a light when I need it the most. Just my opinion I guess. I'll end up going back to a black hard hat no vents for warmth and the sun doesn't rise as early ill need the extra light then.

I was looking for a better fitting hard hat than the MSA one I was issued. The suspension system in the Ergodyne is much more comfortable with its pad on the top and across the front. Way better at absorbing sweat, keeping it out of my eyes. Also it holds Ergodyne and Kline Tools head lamps directly on the shell. I bought the Kline Tools light separately and use it daily at work. The closing vents allow more air flow as well.

The light on the front is very bright and works well in low light conditions.

Overall it looks good and felt okay for the few minutes I tried it on. But inspecting it right out of the box showed slight damage to the rim. It looks like it has been dropped onto the edge. Will be returning and may reorder to try for an undameged one on the second try.

Have used this hard hat for about a month now. Was eager to get this hoping that it wore cooler than traditional hat. Unfortunately it doesn’t wear as cool as I hoped due to additional padding installed in cage, main purpose being as added sweat retention. It is a very comfortable hard hat. I saw other negative reviews prior to purchase, having to do with rear of cage swiveling. Honestly don’t see it as a problem, it doesn’t cause any issues through act of wearing it, and actually like the fact it swivels when not in use so it sits in natural upright position. This will remain to be my primary hardhat through summer and fall, and will see how it holds up over time.

This hardhat is so lightweight and balanced that I forget I have it on! The padding inside and vents on each side make for a cool, comfortable fit. I have a whiplash injury between C1 and C2 so this is saying a lot that I literally forget I have it on! The rear strap falls quite low and is sticky enough to grip but not so much as to ever pull my hair (I have hair down to below my hips but I wear it up in a bun when I wear a hardhat).

The vents are great when it’s hot awesome in the rain the light is very bright and awesome very comfortable best hard hat I’ve had so far

Working on offshore industry for 20 years,this is the best helmet ever.

Like the wide brim and ventilation slots. Great idea with the added light holders. Has a good inner suspension system with the availability of getting fresh sweat bands and center piece. Dislikes for this product. It's a fairly heavy hat and very pricey.

Bought this for my husband as he works construction. He loves it! Great for keeping his head cool in hot humid weather. He spray painted it grey as the white wasn't suitable. He has recommended it to all his co-workers. Very comfortable and well made. You can't beat the price either.
