The Clauss Enviro-Line garden tools are truly "green". The Knife handles are made from recycled content. Handle material is 70-Percent recycled content and rubber is 100-Percent recycled content. Even the packaging is made from post consumer content and PETE plastic.

If you had a chance to use both, you'd gladly pay more for the Victorinox
I'm a fool. I forgot that I bought a similar Clauss knife years ago and returned it because it was lame. I ran into this, apparently on sale for an extremely low price, and added it to my cart without thinking much.At full price, it's as much as a Victorinox gardener, and almost identical in size and shape, but just not made as well. The last one I had didn't snap open well. This one doesn't want to close well. The edge is almost good, but a little thicker and steeper than the Victorinox and not consistently sharp (one area blunt, one flaking metal, one OK). It's a little too blunt and sloppy for cutting flowers. The blade feels rough when opening. The blade also has a slight left/right wiggle when open. It looks OK at first glance, with the parts all fitting together well, but the finer points are all a bit sub-par.The main design difference is the Clauss' having a main bevel on both sides (but the final edge bevel is one-sided), while the Victorinox is completely flat on the back side. This is ideal for cutting stems, as the one-sided blade profile pulls the cut stump away from the stem of the flower, and there is no crushing against the stem end you want to pot. The Clauss would probably still be OK if not for the blunt edge angle.

Good Garden Knife
The quality is OK. It's not as good as the Swiss Army Florist knife but it gets the job done.
