Instant Relief!
(Full Review)A couple of weeks ago I had a fall onto concrete slabs and landed awkwardly on my hands, particularly the left one. Ouch - wasn't amongst the words I used at the time!! 🤬😄Thankfully nothing broken but still crunched bones and joints. Two weeks later and still super painful and difficult to use so I decided to search for some form of strapping.Lots of types to choose from but as I needed one to hold the wrist, thumb and the majority of my hand in place then this one appealed to me.As soon as it was delivered I put the glove on and strapped it into place (following simple picture instructions) and it created Instant Relief from the majority of the pain I was experiencing by holding the wrist in a fixed position.I can see that alot of thought and planning has gone into the design of this product to suit many conditions. With this make/type you get a choice of Regular or Short length, and 3 sizes S/M/L.The Regular size is longer which reaches half way up the forearm and suitable if you need extra support in the area further along than the wrist. The Short size is more suitable when you don't need support beyond the wrist. So I chose the Short version. Both are totally covered in felt. With the Short one there are 4 strong Velcro straps.#1 wraps around just below the wrist.#2 wraps around at the base of palm above the wrist.#3 goes from back to front around where the thumb joint meets the forefinger.#4 wraps around the lower half of the thumb.Because of the good quality felt and close knit Velcro design the straps have a very strong grip and stay exactly where you place them. Can be difficult to separate straps at 1st.Strips & Inserts -Built into the glove running across the entire inner length are two removable metal strips which incapacitate (prevent) the wrist from moving forwards or backwards. They are bent inwards to perfectly fit the shape of the wrist and palm, with a padded material bubble under the palm to fill the gap and add comfort. At the rear (back) there's two metal strips that Can't be removed positioned either side of the strap buckles that provide extra support for the hand, again by limiting movement. Also built into the glove there is a hard moulded insert positioned at the back of the thumb reaching down to the joint. This Can't be removed. It provides extra support for the thumb and prevents thumb bending backwards. At the rear linking the two glove sections together it has a silky stretchy material section sewed underneath the strap buckles to protect the hand and feels nice against the skin. All the stitching looks strong&neat and should last well though it's maybe too early to know just yet. This can be worn daytime aswell as the night which is great, but I loosen it abit during the night to allow for good circulation. In fact I found I needed to totally release the two thumb straps during the night and place them behind the insert to prevent thumb and fingers cramping up. So that's a tip for you to try if you find you get the same issue. I slept straight through without any pain from my wrist/hand waking me. Brilliant!Positive -As mentioned above the entire glove is coated in felt meaning you can choose the optimum position of each strap to suit your individual need.Negative -Because the 2 strips in the rear can't be removed or even to alter the position I find once the straps are applied it adds pressure and digs into the back of my hand (which is uncomfortable at times) along the bone as I have thin hands, leaving tempory ridge marks in the skin.Having the choice to remove either of these would alleviate this problem, despite the manual stating this is to add balance to the brace. The thumb insert also leaves ridge marks but doesn't cause any additional pain, and all marks soon disappear once glove has been removed for a while. This is a minor problem as I am still benefiting a great amount from my time wearing the brace. So in my opinion I made the Correct Choice in picking this.Great in relieving wrist and thumb pain while my injury gradually recovers, and hopefully will reduce the chance of any long term damage. So for that and the very reasonable price I have to give this product 5stars and can recommend you giving it a try.Thankyou for reading my Full Review and please let me know if it's been Helpful to you.

Highly effective brace
I have arthritis in both hands & recently developed carpal tunnel in one hand. I have purchased about half a dozen different wrist braces trying to find one that is comfortable and effective……. Finally I have found the perfect one! I chose this one because of the thumb section thinking this would stop me forming my hand into a fist at night as this was aggravating my carpal tunnel. Within a couple of weeks my symptoms have improved significantly. The key features of this brace are:Crossover straps - the two Velcro straps close in opposite directions which make it stay put and give a secure fit.Padded and fabric lined palm side - in other braces the metal ‘spoon’ gets very uncomfortable but with this one the padding means you can’t feel it & it’s very comfortable with no sweaty palms. The thumb straps - it took a couple of readjustments of the thumb straps to get the most comfortable fit but once achieved this section makes such a difference. So pleased with this brace.

A great splint but not very hard wearing
This is a great splint for de quervains. It fits well and gives great support but this condition requires wearing the splint 24/7 for 6-8 weeks and I am now 5 weeks in and as you can see it’s getting very tatty. The splint itself is fine but the blue piping looks awful and is falling apart. Consequently I have purchased a second one. Also despite giving my wrist a break in the evenings, airing the splint daily and hand washing it weekly it is now quite grubby and a little bit musty smelling inside. A great piece of kit but don’t expect it to last the full 6-8 weeks. I think 4 weeks is about as long as it will last without looking, feeling and smelling slightly unpleasant. I’m still working despite the de quervains so perhaps if you were resting all day it might last longer. Definitely worth the money but you may need two!

Brilliant
This splint is so comfy and does the job. I bought it for de quervain and have noticed an improvement already. However the strap around the thumb rubs, I stopped this by putting some sponge underneath to stop contact. I am still giving it a five because having bought several different splints, this one is still the comfiest.

Fantastic
Almost as soon as I put this splint on it helped with my pain right away which for a while has been getting worse due to my job which causes severe repetitive strain injury , I have osteoarthiritis too & suffer with tenosynovitis, so finding this brace was great, really recommend, comfortable to wear & a good price for a quality product , have recommended to others

Heavy and rubs
The brace gives good support but it is heavy and the thumb strap rubs no matter how I put it on.
