Rock Songbook

My son is a huge Justin Sandercoe fan. Justin's free online guitar tutorials are amazing and my son's ability and confidence playing his electric guitar improved dramatically during the spring/summer online lockdown of 2020. All those between zoom breaks or evening sundown sessions added up to a lot of practice time. After about an eight-year hiatus, my son picked us his guitar again and with Justin's online help was nailing tunes sometimes within a matter of 15-20 minutes. Awesome. For Christmas, I got my son 3 Justin Sandercoe books and an acoustic guitar. All the songbooks are excellent, easy to use, spiral-bound so will lay flat. It is a great way to support Justin as his online tutorials are free and my son increased his repertoire very quickly. This man is an amazing teacher and his tutorials are fun. The Rock Songbook (and his two other songbooks I purchased) are terrific. I will get Justin's other songbooks for future birthdays/ Christmas presents.

There are a good bit of riffs, which is why we bought it. It's not a beginner book. We are on stage 3 of justinsguitar's classic lessons so this book is a perfect fit. If you are a beginner get the light blue course book first. Most of the songs included in this black rock book can be found on Justin's website by scrolling through the song index or typing it into the webpage search bar. In the beginner section there was only 1 song I didn't find a lesson for. Since receiving this my son has been practicing daily on his electric guitar. It's a well done book! Good Job Justin Sandecoe on inspiring a new generation of guitarists!

I own hard-copy spiral bound versions of Justin's Beginner Songbooks, volumes 1 and 2. They are a perfect companion to the free course on his website, which is a wonderful resource. Justin is a talented musician and a wonderful teacher.I purchased the Kindle version of this songbook, because the price was right and the hard copy was not available on Amazon at the time. It is readable on my 7" tablet while playing, but just barely. It is readable on my Galaxy S7 Edge smart phone, but not at the distance necessary to read while playing.In hindsight, I should have spent the extra money to order the hard copy version off of Justinguitar.com

These are great for beginners.They’re not tabs. They won’t teach you to play like the recording. They will teach you to play rhythm so you can sing along around a campfire (or whatever). Perfect if you are just starting on your guitar journey.

I honestly can say that my husband learned to play using Justin Guitar and his FREE website. He is amazing for people learning to play. I am so glad I found him for my hubby!

Great coverage and discussion of a tasty selection of songs! My only niggle is that many of the songs don't have chords listed for each verse, which can make getting the lyric timing tricky if you are playing and singing. On some songs the page breakdown is odd...makes it tricky to use the book "live".

I've wanted to learn to play the guitar since the second grade. Last spring, I bought a Luna and a few of Justin's Songbooks. They are my favorite in my music library. And his online lessons... the best. I can't tell you how tickled I was to hear my guitar produce the first two chords of Every Rose Has Its Thorn. It's like I'm MTV Unplugged... simplified. :-) Justin, if you read your Amazon reviews, thank you for all you do.

What more can you say ..the guy is a teaching legend ...concise clear instruction ...love the spiral book. Perfect for music stand .

Very good product. I now own almost every book Justin has published. I left this one until last as I started to learn guitar from scratch 2 years ago from Justins online course, apps and books. I am now an intermediate guitarist. As other reviewers have said. This book is not for beginners. Even after two years I find a lot of this book difficult but I also find it good because it is challenging my skill level. With practice and patients it is making me a better guitarist.The fact it is ringbound is very helpful. No pages flipping over while you try to read them, or having to bend pages over in your valuable books. The explanations are very good in the book and the variety of songs is also good. Very happy I purchased.

Very useful songbook for intermediate players - be ready for bar chords and power chords and scales, otherwise this might be a little intimidating!Really useful hints and tips that sit alongside each song.

The 4th Justin book. Same format, but be aware that even the Beginer song section is more advanced than the others.

Ordered this book for my son who loves playing rock music with his brother on drums great variety of songs so to expand there range of songs good tab's and video's by Justin,The book is well set out and has good info in it and goes very well with the web site more books from Justinguitar is a must.Excellent book buy buy and i have a lot of guitar books.
