I'm a black woman of color with combination skin, scarring on my cheeks and chin from hormonal acne, and slightly clogged pores. I've been using this serum for a little while and saw slight fading within the first 2 weeks. Typically, it takes 6-8 weeks for hyperpigmentation to fade. But this serum is packed with AHAs and BHAs as well as hydroquinone, which is the most effective hyperpigmentation treatment. It did not cause any irritation on my skin, but I have been using active ingredients for years so my skin is quite used to the combination of AHAs and BHAs. It has not broken me out at all, my skin has been glowing since I started using it. It has a very mild chemical smell, which is normal considering it does have AHAs and BHAs, but nothing that is off-putting at all. I use it twice a day and apply sunscreen in the morning because the ingredients can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. This will NOT bleach your skin at all, it will only brighten your scars. But, hydroquinone should only be used for 8 weeks at most and then you should take a break. I haven't reached 8 weeks yet, but I doubt I'll even need to use this for that long for my scars to fade. My main advice would be to hydrate and moisturize your skin properly while using this to avoid irritation, and sunscreen is a must. This is my new holy grail for my hyperpigmentation.

I know, I know "derriere" means buttocks and I gotta tell you, it took me a little while to decide to give this product a try. It is hard to take a name like that seriously, 'butt' if you take a leap of faith you will be pleasantly surprised. My experience has been great, not only has this product lessened the dark spots, it has also made some fine lines disappear. I have tried many many products to improve the dark areas on my cheeks, both OTC and prescription and Divine Derriere has been the best. I was a little nervous the first week and downright scared because there IS some irritation, the first 4 days are the worse, but I stuck it out and by the second week of use I noticed my melasma had improved. By the end of the first month I was getting compliments on my complexion. I was doubtful of all the positive reviews, but after seeing first hand how this gel helps, I am telling you: it works.

This product has changed my life. I have been using this product for 5 days now. About 6 years ago I had really bad sunburns that caused dark brown sun spots to appear on my lips. This was something that really killed my self esteem and made me very insecure. I have done research after research to find a treatment option to help diminish these spots. Home remedies were not cutting it. I came across this product and figured it was worth a shot. With a q tip I applied this onto the spot about 2-3 times a day. There would be mild burning but other than that, no pain. My lips would become very flakey and start to peel. I would peel off the layer and eventually the spots because less each time. I’m currently on day 5 and have noticed huge improvements in the color of the spots. They are barely even noticeable now. I am giving my lips a break to heel and will continue using it until it is completely gone.

The serum works for me!It immediately started working upon the initial use.Depending on the area of skin it's being used on I noticed my skin started to peel, not like a "my skin is dry" peel, more like a peel mask. Because of this I recommend to do follow up exfoliation to help remove the dead skin that is peeling off. IMPRESSED!I bought 2 Divine Derriere skin lighteners (the aha cream also the bha serum) and both are amazing. The BHA 2% Serum is potent. I saw results within three days I am impressed. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to rid hyperpigmentation, dark spots and even wrinkles. I see a huge difference after using this product!‌
