Good, but not great
Overall a good product, but I couldn't give it five stars. It connects easily with the FT-3DR, but it is hard to hear in noisy environments. Even with the volume up all the way it's just not clear. This is the first Yaesu product I couldn't give a perfect rating.

Low quality BT headset
Both the fit and the sound quality are awful

Low volume.
Works fine but the volume is not as loud as I expected. Can’t hear well if you are a passenger in a car.

Very light & comfortable
I purchased this device because it is compatible with the Yaesu FT3D HHT (Hand Held Tranceiver). It connected easily both in simplex mode and in duplex mode. The unit is very light and comfortable and I can wear it for hours. BTW, it also works with my television! Its audio output is adequate. Don't ask it to compete with a heavy metal rock band or a jet engine.

Very noisy
Although, I didn't buy through Amazon, yet I would like to express my experience with this device.Pairing with the FT3DR and FT3DR only, is easy, although there are steps to be performed on the Transceiver, beforehand. That's as far as the pleasant experience goes! After pairing, a hissing sound is heard (at least in my case). The audio level presented, is very low, even at max setting. My guess they want to avoid issues that may arise from people that blame their hearing loss to this device. So you limit levels to whisper mode! So, it has a hissing noise after a switch between TX to RX, but disappears after a short while. Then it works as I would expect it to.Using the EchoLink system to playback transmitted audio, I found that it totally over drives the Microphone input for a few hundred milliseconds. But this settles to normal levels, too.I am running a Echolink hook system called Svxlink. This system has a parroting system, that records your audio and plays it back locally. So I used this to hear what the BT-10 produces. Absolutely unacceptable! The same as with the Echolink playback. At first over driven and then settling to normal levels. There is this annoying hiss, when switching to RX, but it will go away after a short while.Sometimes, I am asking myself, how on earth do these devices pass QA / QC?In conclusion, this device as it is, is in fact a waste of money!

Meh
It works its- but its uncomfortable, clunky and difficult to get in. also does not stay in well. Disappointing the FT3dr does not seem to pair with standard BT headsets. Actually I am taking a star away... Down to 2. I have many yaesu products. this one missed the boat
