desertcart.com: Born in Fire: Demon Days, Vampire Nights World, Book 1 (Audible Audio Edition): K.F. Breene, Nicole Poole, Hazy Dawn Press, Inc.: Audible Books & Originals Review: Fun ball buster MFC and a cool fantasy world - I enjoyed this book in graphic audio. Raegan is a ball buster with a unique sense of humor that just vibes with me. I like these types of books that follow a mystery in the one book and and overarching story in the series. Here we have the mystery of who’s doing the bad thing where Raegan the bounty hunter is enjoying playing bad cop. But the overarching plot introduces us to her and the whole backstory of where she comes from as a unique magical creature herself. This book has a lot of clichés and isn’t anything new and ground breaking in fantasy but it is so very enjoyable to read a main female character who isn’t so very young and discovering themselves. Reagan is older, has learned how to live her life and is very aware of her shortcomings. That is what made this a fresh read. I definitely recommend this book to vampire lovers because the vampire aspect in this series is something I haven’t encountered before. Those who enjoy Patricia briggs will love this series too. Review: Interesting take on the supernaturals - I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump lately, reading a lot of contemporary romances, so I decided to find an urban fantasy in kindle unlimited as a palate cleanser. This book really did the trick for me. Things I liked: The book did a pretty good job of keeping my attention, which is harder than it seems sometimes. I loved Reagan. I mean she’s a great urban fantasy heroine, she’s strong, she is confident in herself, she’s sassy, has great humor, and especially in this book is independent and not in need of a man. Darius, our vampire hero is an interesting character but you don’t get a lot of background into him, it feels like in this book this is just an introduction to Darius and we will learn more later. I liked the plot to the book, it was an interesting mystery/bounty, and we got the first glimpses of all the supernaturals in this world. I liked some of the other cast of characters as well. Reagan has funny neighbors, the mages she is introduced to are both helpful and hilarious. I really liked that Reagan had a secret she is trying to protect, although to be fair I did guess it on my own, but still it worked for her character. Things I didn’t like: There was a lot of world building in this first book and it sometimes got a little bit on the tedious side. The supernaturals in this book don’t necessarily follow some of the “standard” rules/hierarchy so it’s important to keep up with the all the information and it did occasionally get confusing. I do wish I had seen more of Darius in this book, just because we don’t necessarily get to know him very well at all even though it’s clear he’s going to be important in the future. Other than that I don’t really have any other complaints. It was a solid first book in the series.

This is your sign to read this book!
Love everything by KF Breene but this series is my ultimate favorite. If you are looking for a kick a** female main character that still manages to have character growth and fun banter along the way, this is for you! Reagan is my girl. The whole series is fantastic. Download this book! I loved it so much I'm normally a kindle reader and just pre-ordered a special edition hardback of Forged in Fire.

Such a fun story! Love it!
Amazing! Reagan is hilarious! I love her personality so much, and she's so relatable. She's awkward, honest, and a badass! I love her little neighborhood of loyal misfits. I feel like her reaction to things in the story are how regular people would react. The world of Demon Days Vampire Nights is unique and fun! The story was full of action and hilarious antics. Loved it so much.

Meet Reagan, crazy supernatural bounty hunter extraordinaire with a super rare blend of magic
Meet Reagan, supernatural bounty hunter extraordinaire with a super rare blend of magic. Who also reaaaaalllly needs to bring her mark in so she can get paid and get some decent ac going in her rented house. All of which was going according to plan... until an elder vampire (and a seriously hot one too) just came up and took her mark and as such, her pay check. Yeah, that's not going over well. Now Darius has the balls to request her aid? Sure he will pay her an insane amount of money and give her a house... but he's still a vampire. He took one mark away from her, who says he wont screw her over again? And then there is the teensy weensy secret of her magic that if word got out, would spell a whole new level of trouble for our kick ass bounty hunter. My take on the book: The snark is strong in this one... I enjoyed it! Weirdly enough, its only when writing this review that I noticed things were lacking in the book. Character development was decent. We met the players, we got a some info about Reagan and that's pretty much it. Her mother died, but I don't think we found out how, she works in the bounty hunting business but we don't know how she got there, she has no papers but is able to rent a house (while I guess that should be possible in some case when paying cash or so... but still!). We got next to no info about Darius, other that he's an elder vampire with good taste in his home decoration. Yeah, so that was lacking. Reagan is also certifiably crazy, rushing off without thinking things through. Her thoughts and ramblings befit a teenager rather than an adult woman. The plot and the world building were great, enough descriptions (but none too boring) to keep me immersed in the created world. Pacing was good, we had a lot of action going on and it didn't feel rushed at all. There were (as far as I can tell) no errors and there is no sex in this book (though we have a scene with a naked Darius) if that is important to you. All in all, I really enjoyed reading the book, but once it was finished I kept thinking back to the things it lacked. So while not wholly convinced, book 2 is in my TBR pile... lets hope it brings me around! :)

Oh my Gosh! I am totally hooked on this series. I don't know why I waited so long to start this but seriously this book was amazing. It's filled with drama, loads of action, kick-ass sword fighting, magical battles, humor and some steamy tension. Really? What's not to love?

I just finished a great series and had to choose a new book to read. I hate that but picked this one from several . Boy, was it a good pick. Such a good book and cast of characters. Exciting but also some scenes that made me laugh out loud. Really great exciting plot. I’m ordering the next book right now.
