Easy-Peasy!
I had to post to counteract what I would call 'misleading' information. I have been using the Avery 8693 "Jewel Case Standard & Slimline Inserts" for some time now. (350 units worth anyway . . .) And I find them to be well-manufactured, reliable, and EASY-PEASY to use! I waited before posting this review until I received my first set through Amazon, to make sure that it wouldn't be a different story. Same, reliable, easy-to-use product. And this price (as it reads today) is, of course, better than you'll find in the retail outlets. Although I seem to recall at one point I bought a larger quantity directly from Avery and got a good deal, the point of manufacturing CD's this way is NOT having to prepay for large numbers. These are consistent, which is what you need. Just use the free Avery software to design and print onto the templates, bend and tear at the perforations . . . boom! If you look closely, you'll see perforation lines on the inserts, so these are NOT 'high-end, high-number' inserts made in mass for mass-produced CDs. Oh well. They look pretty dang good, and if a customer complains about a slightly visible perforation line on your CD, you've got bigger problems! I manufacture professional-looking CD's using these templates. Go for it!

Print well but be careful when tearing apart
These print great and are good quality. The problem I had was when I tried to remove them from the full sheet. There are different sizes, so you need to make sure you use the right one. If you do not use the smallest one the extra pieces can tear off easily once separated so you need to be careful.

Five Stars
They do the job just fine.

Not as good a SureThing.
These are okay, but not as good as SureThing. They aren't perforated the best, and I had to cut part of them out with scissors.

They’re great but they don’t lineup perfectly for sale in case at least.
They’re great but they don’t lineup perfectly for sale in case at least. I’m sure it was user error in my fault but I don’t know always always seem to not quite louder bright for both of them is it just one.

A waste of money
The CD jewel case tray (back) only has one spine in lieu of the 2 required. I cannot make my own missing spine as dark blue printing covers the area of the missing second spine. A waste of money. I expected more from Avery.

Opening Impression: The Avery 8693 White Matte Jewel Case Inserts provide an excellent way to create polished and professional-looking CD/DVD cases at home. Right out of the package, the paper feels sturdy enough to handle frequent handling without tearing, yet thin enough to slide easily into standard and slimline jewel cases. Features & Performance: These inserts are designed specifically for inkjet printers, and the matte finish does a good job at holding vibrant colors without smudging or bleeding. The perforations separate cleanly, which avoids the ragged edges that can ruin the final look. Printing alignment with Avery’s free templates was straightforward, saving time and reducing wasted sheets. Each pack includes 20 sheets (40 inserts total), which is sufficient for small to medium projects. The 8.5” x 11” format fits most home printers, and the results look nearly identical to professionally printed covers. Personal Use Case: I used these inserts to create jewel case covers for a small run of custom music CDs. After designing in the Avery template software, I printed a mix of text-heavy back covers and image-heavy front covers. Both types came out crisp and sharp. The inserts slid easily into jewel cases without folding or buckling. Friends commented that the cases looked like something purchased at retail. Pros: Matte finish prints clearly and resists smudging Perforations tear cleanly with no ragged edges Compatible with both standard and slimline jewel cases Templates are easy to use and align perfectly Paper thickness feels professional and durable Cons: At $32+ for 20 sheets, cost per insert is relatively high Only suitable for inkjet (not laser) printers Verdict: These Avery inserts are a great choice for anyone producing small batches of professional-looking CDs or DVDs, whether for music, data, or events. While a bit pricey, the quality, ease of use, and reliable results make them worth it for personal or small business projects. Highly recommended for users who want a polished finish without outsourcing printing.
