Jecod/Jebao DCT-4000 Marine Controllable Water Pump

I bought this pump for my small pond. But it is probably too much power. I have it turned way down and my waterfall is still flowing very fast.

Lasted one year. Worked great until it didn’t

Been running my 125 g African cichlid tank for 4 years now. Never a problem. Isn’t that what we all want from a return pump?

So far so good for large fish pond. Took month to clear water with filter changes and carbon. Make sure to keep controls out of weather. Got wet and stopped working. Dried with rice and works again.

I have had 3 of these pumps and the quality is hit or miss, at least with the DTC version. 2 have died on me in very short time.

This worked after I removed glass chards that got sucked up inside and after it ran dry for a couple of minutes by accident. This little guy takes a few long seconds to get going but once it does it really takes off! There is a control switch to turn it down but I really do wish you could turn it down lower. I bought this becuase it was recommended by an aquarium expert. It is a great deal.

I used this to pump water into my refugium but wasn't strong enough. From sump to refugium was about 3 feet up and even with the display tank, 3 stars because it is quiet and adjustable.My 65 watt AC quiet one pro pump is at least 2x stronger than this, as it pumps from the sump to my 120 gallon.Anyhow I ended up getting the 8000 series and run it at 3/4 speed.So if your going for a power saver, this isn't it IMO, but it's worth the money in functionality, just go bigger because you can turn it down if need too!

Completely silent, no vibration sitting in my 30gal sump tank. Easily keeps up with my overflow, easy set up. Love the fact it is controllable. When setting up my plumbing I was advised to install a valve on the line incase the flow was to high even at low setting. So far, I'm at the medium setting and it maintains the level perfectly. So glad I spent the money on this pump instead of going cheaper!!

Good flow, super super quiet. Been a few months so far and no problems. Highly recommend

Using this pump for as a return pump from my Sump in a 75 gallon reef tank very very quiet pump would recommend I actually bought second one for backup

Using the pump for my 40 gallon reef tank, works very good smooth and quite and lots power to return water from sump to tank.
