Upgrade Ender 3 Extruder, Ender 3 V2 Upgrades Metal Extruder Aluminum MK8 Bowden Extruder 40 Teeth Drive Gear for Creality Ender 3 Pro/Ender 5 Pro/Ender 5 Plus/CR-10 Series 3D Printer

The extruder that came with my Ender 3 V2 spontaneously shattered. It was mostly plastic and the plastic just weakened over time since it is always in tension with the spring. I also had slipping of the filament because the tension of the extruder wasn't high enough. This all metal extruder solved all my problems. It was a perfect fit for my printer without any modifications. It is very high quality with stainless steel screws and spring, steel bearings, aluminum frame, and good brass drive gear. The spring tension is adjustable and I keep mine pretty tight so there is no slipping. The extruder works perfectly and I haven't had any failures from extruding since replacing my broken OEM with this. This was not very expensive and upgraded my printer dramatically. It was easy to install, mostly just a direct swap. I recommend this for all OEM Ender 3 V2 printers.

My stock extruder finally broke on my ended 3v2. It was just a plastic one that I’ve had for years. This new one is very strong and I’m very pleased with it. It’s all aluminum and comes with everything you will need including new screws. And drive gears. Super easy to install, maybe took 5 minutes if you know what you’re doing. Functions great and I’ve had no issues yet. I definitely would recommend.

Bought this to replace the stock plastic extruder on my 2020 ender 3 pro before it had a chance to crack, and because I was already installing a printermods direct drive kit so I figured it was a good time to upgrade. While the extruder is easy to install and works great, it DOES NOT work with the printermods direct drive kit(which I got from Fargo3D) without a fix. The printermods mounting adapter for the extruder is designed for the plastic Creality extruder so it won't work on this metal Creality extruder. The part of the base where the filament leaves the extruder is shaped differently. The printermods DD kit product page has STLs for different extruder mounts to print but the one that should work on the metal Creality extruder base doesn't quite fit it so it can't be used either. If you are comfortable editing and adjusting STL files in whatever CAD software you prefer then this is probably an easy fix. Since I am not designing or editing prints yet my solution was to use the new metal extruder lever on the old plastic extruder base. This configuration works fine and the plastic extruder lever that's prone to cracking got upgraded to metal so I'm happy. If I ever find the right DD kit extruder mounting adapter or can design one then I'll swap on the metal extruder base.

The extruder itself works great! I bought it as a replacement for my stock plastic one, since on certain filament my old assembly would slip and the print would fail. So far so good on this one A few important notes: 1.) it took me about 45 minutes to put together as someone whose not super experienced 2.) The kit came with an exploded view of the extruder assembly, but no instructions on how to put it together. Youtube videos helped me out a lot 3.) I thought I was missing a screw, but it was pre-screwed into the "large pneumatic connector" (look on your parts sheet to see what I'm talking about) 4.) I had to cut my bowden tube to get the old pneumatic connector off, and then re-squish the cut end back into a circle so the filament could fit into it These were my biggest annoyances putting this project together, so I hope it helps someone!

Perfect for my Ender 3 Pro v2 easy to use and is a great fit. Been printing with it for a while and it works perfect. No issues with a self leveling bed.

It was really easy to use and upgrade my ender 3 pro. The only thing is I've noticed I think it might grind the filament a bit, as I've noticed some dust on the entrance to the feeder, but not much at all and it works perfectly

Super easy install once you get the original brass gear off the stepper motor shaft. It comes with all fresh screws and springs and is a complete replacement in aluminum. I would recommend putting the new brass extruder gear onto the stepper motor shaft before remounting it to your printer since the set screws on the new gear are quite small and it makes for some awkward angles if you go in a different order. I am not sure if there is any benefit to having aluminum over the OEM plastic but I ordered on a whim and it worked out pretty well. For those struggling to remove the OEM press fit brass gear from the shaft, I found that heating the gear up with a propane torch while taking care to keep the motor cool did the trick. Once sufficiently heated it practically falls right off. I would recommend using appropriate PPE and techniques for this.

Preso per sostituire l'originale in plastica. Funziona assolutamente molto meglio dell'originale in plastica. Si monta in 5 minuti e fa una gran differenza su come il filo viene spinto. Mod consigliata.

You can expect the one that came with your ender 3 to break, they always seem to. This is much better quality and has been going strong.

Past niet in elkaar. Bouten en moeren zijn nier de juiste maat en de schroefdraden passen dus niet in elkaar. Het wordt geleverd zonder motor maar past ook niet op een standaard steppermotor.

Da ich ohnehin ein neues Extruderzahnrad einbauen musste, habe ich die Gelegenheit genutzt, die im Original etwas zweifelhafte Plastikmechanik durch diese Metallteile zu ersetzen. Der Einbau ging völlig problemlos vonstatten, alles passte auf Anhieb. Es sieht jetzt nicht nur wertiger aus, sondern ist auch wirklich ungleich stabiler. Man sollte realistischerweise aber nicht erwarten, dass nun um Welten besser gedruckt wird. Höhere Zuverlässigkeit ist allerdings auch schlecht messbar. Ich bin jedenfalls sehr zufrieden und kann das Teil jedem nur empfehlen, der keine übertriebenen Erwartungen hat.
