A set of 42 (or only 41, if you discount the informational card) oversize (15cm x 22cm) tarot cards printed on excellent card stock and illustrated by 4 prominent illustrators--David Mario Palladini, Ron Rae, Hy Roth, and Nicolas Sidjakov. Includes a pamphlet on using the cards for fortune telling. Issued originally as a promotional product for Linweave papers. Rare. Review: A Psychedelic deck dating to the year of the Summer of Love - This tarot deck evokes a hippie psychedelic past both in its time of origin and in the artwork within. David Mario Palladini is best known for his traditional Aquarian Tarot deck of the early 1970s. His work here from the late 1960s predates that deck (the Linweave deck is from 1967). The artwork is very reminiscent of what art director Heinz Edelmann pulled together for the "Yellow Submarine' that came our the following year. It's a little Peter Max-ish pop-art, a little art deco. The Hy Roth cards are especially appealing - full of vibrant color and playful imagery. This is a modern deck, meaning it has less than the 78 cards of a traditional deck. The set here consists of 41 cards. The large size make for a dramatic reading, with artwork to take you to another place, another time.
