Remembering Jaguar's Older Sister
Remembering an old, green Daimler 250 V8 in an auction yard in Preston. The weather was raw. Oil-filmed puddles everywhere, conditions un-condusive for an old engine to operate. I slipped behind the wheel, an overwhelming smell of damp carpets and leather. I turned the key without a great deal of hope. Pressing the black shiny starter button....No vibration, and hardly any noise, the little Turner designed V8 breathed into life. What a shame that the Jaguar Mk2 body that surrounded it, was a total 'basket case.'Jaguar have seemed to have jettisoned it's luxury brand in favour of pure performance. What a shame. They could have had both.

Did not met my expectations
I am owner of a Daimler DB 18 Consort and I was expecting to find some information and photos of this model of car in this book but finally I didn't find even one photo or one sentence of my car.

Very interesting account
A very interesting account of the historic Daimler concern. I'm sorry the true Daimlers are no longer in production!
