I just recently received this Seydel Noble 1847 harmonica and I'm in love! This harmonica is by far the BEST blues ...
Wow! I currently own Yamaha Blues Harmonicas, Marine Band 1896, Marine Band Crossover, Marine Band Thunderbird and Seydel 1847 Classic harmonicas. I just recently received this Seydel Noble 1847 harmonica and I'm in love! This harmonica is by far the BEST blues harp I've ever played/owned. The manufacturing is phenomenal, the stainless steel cover plates, and reed plates along with the aluminum comb is definitely the best materials and produces an awesome sound. It's airtight and just a dream of a harp. I would recommend this harp to anyone!

Plays really well.
This harmonica plays and sounds great. This was bought to add a new key to the one already had.

Well made with a rich tone.
The fit and finish of this harmonica is very high quality. The metal comb gives the harmonica just the right amount of "heft".

It's air tight and does not require a lot of force to create a good volume.
This harp is solidly built and the tone is deep and mellow in comparison to some of the other harps that I own. It is very responsive for a lower key harp. It's air tight and does not require a lot of force to create a good volume.

Very comfortable to play
Very comfortable to play, good condition, prompt delivery, good tone, but 2 draw typically disappointingly weak (like most harps I've gotten in the past couple of years). Sure 3 blow is same note, but can't bend a blow like I can a draw.

Sounds great. Broke fast.
Sounded great for 6 months. Fastest-breaking harmonica I've ever owned. I was wrong to assume the stainless steel reeds were more durable. Going back to Special 20s for price and durability.

Seydel Blues 1847 Nobel in A
This is my first harp with stainless steel reeds. From what I've read online, steel reeds are NOT stronger than the traditional brass reeds. We'll see. Combined with the aluminum comb, this harmonica is significantly heavier than the Hohner Crossovers which are my present favorites. Although the Seydel did bend and overflow pretty well right out of the box, I did remove the cover plates and reduce the gap on reeds 1 through 5. This did make the harp more responsive to my bending style. Seydel 1847's have been favorably compared to Hohner Crossovers. I'll have to see for myself after playing it for a while. I do like the heft of the Seydel.

i leave them all lol. I hope they are enjoyed
the silver takes a bit to play smooth and crisp... crisp easy to hit notes. i will buy another one. "Quality product, I say."
