CARTMAN Battery Carry Strap 17"

This carrier strap has metal ends that are slightly different than older battery carrier straps I've owned. On the older models the metal ends have a circular hole in them for the battery posts. These have serrated versus circular metal openings for the battery posts. Both ends are the same size so both fit either the negative or positive post on the battery. I had 20 automotive batteries to load onto my pickup and I used this strap right out of the box. The first two or three batteries I was careful with since I had not gained trust in the gripping power of the metal ends. I need not worry. The netal ends fit all 4-5 different model batteries that I used it on. It did not slip or shift in its gripping power once. The strap was easy to attach to the battery, the ends are made of heavy duty metal. Well worth the money. I would buy this strap again and recommend it to anyone looking for one. Before storage I wiped it down with a little bit of Automotive grease to prevent corrosion which is what destroyed my previous carrier strap.

Bought to remove a 2015 Santa Fe Battery out of it's really tight engine compartment space. The strap would not fit (go) down enough to grip the terminals of the 4yr old and the new MAXX-124R. I had another battery for 2008 f-150 and it worked OK.The 124R had a different designed post, the bottom of the post had a plastic step cast that prevented the strap grip to get a good bite. I had to slip a tie down strap under the battery to lift it out.

Would work great on larger batteries. Otherwise, on shorter batteries it doesn’t work all that well.

Ok but recommend the Steelman brand, which provides a better grip.

My 1938 truck's battery storage is under the floor next to the pedals. Because of mods to the original box, only specific battery size would fit that came with a handle and I needed to trim just 3/8 to make it easy to remove the battery. That meant that I had to remove the extra plastic for the outside handles and use this strap to remove the battery. Worked like a charm
