HDCKU Battery Replacement Kit for iPhone X A1865, A1901, A1902 Battery with Full Repair Tool Set

I strongly advise against buying this battery replacement kit. The instructions have steps missing and are grammatically incorrect. The tools are very poor quality and the spudger broke during installation. The battery connector did not make it contact with the phone. After I turned it on there was a burning smell I quickly pulled it open the find the battery connector sparked and the battery starting to get very warm. Fortunately it did not provide apparent permanent damage to my phone as a new battery has allowed it to work. Nonetheless do not buy this battery if you have any interest in protecting your $1000 plus phone...

1. Incomplete instructions.2. I completed the install using Youtube videos (step # 8 was missing). After doing it couple of times and ensuring ALL cables are properly connected - the battery is getting way too hot and iPhone X won't turn back on. I waited for about an hour after charging started.

I cannot recommend this product. I have been repairing electronics for the better part of 8+ years and have never had any issues. This battery will not allow your phone screen to seat properly back into the bezel. It’s not egregious, but absolutely noticeable and if you drop your phone in the slightest with it raised, I guarantee the screen will shatter. Buyer beware and heed my warning.

The instructions are missing a few steps. One of the missing steps was to re-install the connector cover inside the phone. I didn’t realize this mistake until after I had put the screen back on with the new adhesive. So I have no way of just opening it back up to put the cover back on. I have a small pile of leftover parts that belong inside the phone. But it does work. If you buy this kit, you will need a hot air gun (or hair dryer), and good metal tweezers. It’s also very helpful to watch YouTube videos on battery replacement. I was fortunate that my battery had expanded and pushed the screen most of the way off. Otherwise, it would be extremely difficult to remove without a good suction tool (not included. They only supply one suction cup and no puller tool.)

The paper guide pictures look like they came from a YouTube video I watched. I do recommend watching a video if you haven’t done this repair before. Non the less this kit had everything I needed except a pair or metal fine point tweezers. Those are needed to grab the tabs from the edges of the old battery to pull the glue tabs. The video also recommends a thin bit of plastic to aid in removing the screen. My old batter had already pushed the screen away from the frame so I didn’t need it.You also need a heat source to help loosen the glue seals.Battery is working great!

I installed this battery five months ago. Now my phone shuts off at 20% and the battery health is “service”. My original Apple battery took three years to get this bad.Update: The battery is now swollen and the screen is flexing. I took it to the Apple store to get a real battery put in it and they refused to work on it because it is a fire hazard.

This battery was a perfect solution for my iPhone X. It included the tools, instructions and even the new sticky seal to keep the iPhone waterproof.This seller has excellent communications and even stands behind the battery performance.

Replaced the stock battery 8 months ago with this one. The has been good and only recently has began to show signs of getting weak, example will still go all day without charge, but used last over 12 hours, now need to charge by 5 each day. But still works good
