12 Inch 5R Flexible Black Chrome, High Contrast Machinist Ruler with Markings 1/10 Inch, 1/100 Inch, 1/32 Inch and 1/64 Inch (Оne Расk)

I received my ruler in a box with another item, which was large and 3 lbs... Ruler was just tossed into the box, no protection. Even the plastic bag was torn open. As one might expect, the ruler is bent. So it is useless for measurements in a 2D or 'FLAT' domain. Measuring a BALL? great idea... but for this price, a cardboard or other protection for shipping would be recommended OR just pick up the ruler in person.As for the markings and feel of the product? seems fine I like the black face with high contrast markings. thin profile ensures accurate transfer of scale reading to marking, etc. NOW, if I could just get one that is straight and flat!!!

I was looking for a 12" thin and flexible steel ruler with clear easy to read markings. Key for me was thin and flexible - I'd purchased a few other rulers and they were all thicker and mostly rigid. This ruler is perfect for my work. The graduations are fantastic for measuring to precise lengths and I've found the need to purchase another as I'm always wanting to use this in lieu of my other shop rulers. One item to note is that this ruler is only 1/2" wide - I personally like it being thinner but it is not your "standard" width.

From the picture, I thought this would be a standard 1" wide, stiff metal ruler....in fact, it is only 1/2", and very thin and flexible. As long as you are aware of that, it is fine.

Disliked nothing. These are your standard quality Sheetmetal rulers. If you are in aviation...no need to debate these, they are what you want.

Excellent for machine work. High contrast allows easy read against bright, reflective metal backgrounds (aluminum, stainless, etc.) and under bright shop lighting conditions. Graduation in tenths is extremely practical for checking work while it's on the machine table or for laying out work. Couldn't ask for a better shop ruler.

Easy to read and measuring

I thought there was only a 6 inch version of this ruler, but now I know there's 12 inch version too. And I can measure in hundredths up to a foot.

I work in the aircraft industry where thousanths of an inch matter. this scale is exactly what I needed for a fraction of the cost of a Starrett (industry standard).

I love this little ruler, and I'm not exaggerating when I say little. Is 1/2" X 12" but it's perfect for precise layout work.
