I bought this skirt to look nice on a date. I kind of cringed at the price, but I went on to buy it. I got the medium black one. When I got it in the mail my response was "that's it?" It's just a plain black skirt. Nothing special. You could definitely find a skirt of better quality for the same price or a skirt of the same quality for a lower price. When I put it on, I found the skirt to be a little bit too long. I am 5' 4" and weigh 125 pounds. If you match that frame I would order a small. I often found myself re-adjusting the skirt too. On the positive side, it has retained its color after several washes and seems well made. But as I said before, you could definitely get another skirt that's better for the same price.

I purchased one of these skirts in the past (Size M; Black) for 3-4 times as much, so I couldn't resist getting one here. It's OK for the price, even with the S&H fee. This Heather Grey version isn't as soft as the Black one I have. I would have preferred the grey to be a little darker, not like the typical sweatpants grey. The texture also leaves a little to be desired. As another person had mentioned, the elastic at the hem is so-so, requiring a wash after every use if you want the slack to go away. I tried it immediately after receiving it today and the hem is already a bit wavy.Bottom line: I needed a cheap work skirt, and this delivered.

I bought this item in white because I like pencil skirts but I don't like the zipper back kind because my weight at times goes up and down. My best body part is my rear end and this skirt made it look amazing! It's comfortable and if I pack on a few pounds later then it stretches out. It conforms to your hips and thighs...for the price this is an amazing purchase as a summer skirt.

This skirt is great! So versatile and comfy. Pair it with a nice top and pumps for an evening out, or a suit jacket for the office. Even flats and a t-shirt for a day at the park. It's made of super soft material which made me fall in love immediately. Plus it's stretchiness flatters your curves well. I'm very petite, and I'm always afraid to order clothes online as they tend to run large. I ordered an XS and it fits perfect. And for the price, they're a steal. I just finished ordering a second one.

Be warned -- I usually wear a small in most things (I'm 5'2, 125 pounds). My widest parts are in the rear, as well. At American Apparel, I'm a medium - large. This skirt fits best for me one size up. So, medium. I don't know if that helps for sizing!As a short and stout lady, I have a hard time finding clothes to suit my figure. This skirt alleviates a ton of issues for me and it looks hot on. Its high-waist band hits the right spots, makes my legs look longer than they actually are.I'm very conscious about my legs because they're more muscular. But, this skirt with some stockings is my greatest ally. I'd recommend it to anyone with a short legs and a long torso. Amen.

although im unsure of where this came from (if it really is american apparel), im pleased with the purchase (there wasn't a tag label inside).. im definitely a size small, and the small fit perfectly! you can definitely dress it up or down, with flats or boots! very comfy skirt too!!

Love the skirt but I ordered a small and it's WAY too big. I'm 5'7" and 125 pounds, and since I have a rather large rear, I'm never ever an extra small for bottoms. I guess I am this time though, wish I had sized down!

Good for the discounted price - but what gives. American Apparel shipped me a medium when I ordered an XL. but to my shock the skirt still fits, albeit slightly tight but not so bad that I cannot wear it. I'd say size down one size.
