Content is good but the Richard G Nixon version is over bloated
First things first. The Joe Karbo content is good and that deserves 4.5 stars. My slight issue is the Richard G Nixon version of the book. Basically he's taken Joe's original book and added another 150 pages of his own. Basically he's tried to make Joe's book (better) with his own work. Personally I don't think he's done that. What he has done though, is to make the original book much bigger. It's gone from 169 pages up to 300+ pages. Believe me when I say this, it's a massive book. And that seems to be the problem for me. It seems rather over bloated. I appreciate that this is a personal view but it took me ages to get through the first 30% of this. Nixon gets you to do many exercises in the back of the book. On the goal setting exercise I actually got quite confused. To me it didn't really explain the concept very well. Bored one night I decided to read all the reviews on this book on the UK and US Amazon site. A few posters said the original 1973 version was much better. I found the original 73 version online and gave it read (well I've bought this book so its ok :) I must admit i found the 1973 version much better. It's 169 pages, much more to the point and in my mind much easier to follow. My advice would be to get the original over this version. Now...to the book itself (1973 version). The book is split up into two sections. The first section gets you to set concrete goals and meditate on characteristics you want to change. Every day you have to read your goals aloud and you have to visualise them. You do this twice a day. You also have to meditate on a key word (confidence etc) once a day. The idea is to get you to start rewiring your brain into more positive thoughts. I've been doing it for a bit now and I like it, it certainly helps me get up in the morning when I think of all these cool goals that I now want to achieve. Book 2 is about setting up a direct mail company. He talks about how to find ideas (that was good), how to set it up, how to write copy and how to advertise. Some of this info is now dated but the principles are there. Just replace direct mail with online store. I'm going to try it when I'm done with my current projects. It may work, it may not! Overall an enjoyable read, but just get the 1973 version over this version would be my advice.

I owned this book, then lost it a few years ago.I love Joe Karbo. He has a wonderful way of putting things over. Thanks to Joe, I did what it said in the book and it worked! I have prospered ever since.I have bought the book to replace the lost one, so that my grandchildren can benefit from this incredible man's advice.

If you want to make something of your life, here it is.
I bought the original, if I told you the result you wouldn't believe me. I stopped using it and it was all gone. Buy this book but don't stop. what ever you want it will give it to you, if you use it.

Size matters
I was shocked when this book arrived because it measures 11 x 8 inches! I haven't read it, yet. Too busy reading other books but I read the original version many years ago.

Dynamite
I remember seeing the original advertisements for this book, the proposition was watertight, if it does not work you get your money back, endorsements by Joe Karbos accountant and it only cost a tenner!Sadly my peer group at work said it was a con, a waste of money, typical American scam and none of them had even seen it! Covertly I bought a copy, read it applied it, and subsequently used its principles throughout the last forty years of my life. I still see some of those who gave me their "advice", their minds are still closed and given the opportunity of learning Joes strategy they would probably still denounce it.They live in a different World to me, the willingness to learn from a master all those years ago, transformed my life, values, outlook, aspirations and relationships.Successful, happy people are different, not because they are smart, well educated, have money to start with, are lucky but they are willing to listen to those who share their techniques and mind set to win. Joe Karbo and many others Anthony Robbins, Deepak Chopra the list is long, and the choice is simple, learn, change and succeed, or keep complaining and dreaming.

Excellent
I bought the original book "The Lazy Man's Way To riches" by Joe Karbo many years ago. This updated overview book is a great update. The information in it is very relevant, even today and the workbook that's included is a nice touch.
