DMI Waterproof Mattress Protector, White, 36x80x6 Inch, Noiseless Plastic

Mommy of two boys -5 and 3 years old. Both are twin mattresses but one is a 10 inch profile. Purchased a full size for the thinner mattress and a queen for the thicker mattress. The mattress pad will rip if my kids jump on their bed with the recommended size protector, which is why I sized up. This was trial and error, the first set of protectors I purchased ripped because they fit snug and there was no room, but the size up is working well! One photo shows my kid had a puddle of an accident in his bed, urine did not leak thru and the urine was sitting there for at least 2 hours. Easy to clean, I wipe with an all purpose cleaner and warm water. Dries fast! I recommend!

The DMI Twin XL Zip Mattress Cover is shockingly cheap in every possible way. When I say thin, I mean borderline imaginary. This thing feels like it’s made out of the same material as a grocery store produce bag, maybe thinner. Calling it a “mattress cover” is generous. It offers zero protection, zero durability, and zero confidence that it will survive normal human existence. A child rolling over in bed was enough to rip it open. Not jumping. Not roughhousing. Rolling over. If your mattress experiences gravity, this cover is already in danger. The zipper is flimsy, the fabric stretches like wet paper, and once it tears, that’s it, it doesn’t just rip, it gives up on life. There is no waterproofing worth mentioning, no thickness, no reinforcement. It feels like a disposable item that someone accidentally decided to sell as a permanent product. If you’re trying to protect a mattress from spills, accidents, pets, kids, or literally anything more aggressive than a gentle breeze, do not buy this. It’s super cheap in price and somehow even cheaper in quality. You’d be better off wrapping your mattress in a fitted sheet and hoping for the best. This product should not exist, and the fact that it’s marketed for actual use is almost insulting. Final verdict: Thin, fragile, useless. Avoid at all costs.

Must have for cats,dogs and babies or those who act like one. Save a mattress, sleep on a decoy! Keeps moisture out and the yelling and cussing in. Every mattress deserves to be dry.A++

I'm giving it a 5 star but the one I currently have I didn't want to send back bc it was user error and I didnt realize I ordered a full size when I have a queen size bed. It fits but when I went to zip it the cover where it zips wasn't zipping all the way and now the metal piece sits in the middle keeping the fabric together. There isn't any noise when being sat/laid on. Doesn't feel like a shower curtain. Doesn't leak. Easy wipe off. Definitely hard to put on with only one person but it is doable if you have the room to move the mattress around cuz it goes on like one huge zippered pillow case. I ordered this bc I did not realize my last set (queen size and fit perfectly and zipped all the closed) could be washed in the washer and I threw it away. I noticed it when I ordered this set. Haven't washed it yet tho cuz I'm scared to take it off right now cuz of the zipper part barely hanging on.

Would have been 5 stars but two issues. Verrrrrry thin plastic that will obviously rip if pulled hard, so be careful when putting on the mattress. Not the end of the world because I didn’t want noisy heavy plastic. Second, there was a couple punctures in this when I opened it. Very small. But obviously defeats the purpose of liquid gets in there. Otherwise, perfect fit, easy to get on and zip up. I put the holes on the bottom so hopefully won’t be an issue. Not loud and crinkly, I don’t think my kiddo will even notice it’s on.

Easy to put on& stays put

These are about the worst mattress protectors I have ever seen. DO NOT BUY THESE! I purchased (2). The first had a small hole in it right out of the package. Then it tore on both sides as my husband and I were carefully sliding it onto the mattress. We did not pull or tug on it. We put it on like a pair of nylons. The kicker was that when I finally zipped the cover, the zipper tab came off in my hand. We patched up the holes with duct tape and opened the 2nd cover. This one was in perfect condition out of the package. But the results were the same when we tried, even more carefully to put it on the mattress. Rips up both sides and the zipper tab came right off. We bought these for short term coverage during a construction project. We would have used the same amount of duct tape if we had just used a roll of plastic.

This is a good product however it's very flimsy and thin. They tear so easy. Ripped when zipped, and scratches all throughout

I got exactly what I expected for the money. In fact it's an overly generous fit due to fitting mattresses up to 8" deep, so a little tucking to keep the cover flat, but not taut. It's not silent - nothing is unless you're in space. But it's not as bad as other reviews state, so maybe they've softened the plastic. Anyhow, I find it comforting to hear that hushed soft plastic rustle as I sit down. I use a mattress liner over the top of this sheet, then my regular sheet over that; allows for a breathable set of layers. The sheet is reasonably thick; I don't see how it would tear easily unless you have vicious fingernails or a hedgehog for company. I've spent more on toweling lined/rubber backed types of sheets and they became non-watertight with little use, so I've gone back to basics with a plastic sheet. It's not a simple "sheet of plastic"; it has elasticated corners and the material is embossed with very fine grooves, presumably to add grip/micro air flow or suchlike. I'm pleased with this purchase. It's purely functional and won't win any design awards, but for an out of sight out of mind product it does what it says on the tin.

Lo usé en un colchón individual con colchoneta y le quedó jmuy bien, es un plástico muy delgado por lo que no hay ruidos al usarlo, es mas bien como una tela, pero ccumple perfecto su función de proteger el colchon contra líquidos. Una exelente relación de calidad-precio.
