Good product, but won't last long
I purchased 6 of these for our kitchen. I was very happy about the color and compatibility. Sadly, 4 died after 18 months. Not reliable...A reviewer say it has 5 yr warranty, need to try out.

When they work, they are a very good product, but once they die it turns into a warranty joke
I typically don't review products, unless they knock my socks off, or are just terrible.I ordered 5 of these to replace ceiling can CFL's in my place. They do work very well, light is bright, even and no discernable color temp variation. Then ~1 year into having them (moderate daily use, <3/ day.......MAX), on enlarged and burned out.Shortly thereafter, one started to flicker (it died a~ 4 weeks later). These LED's carry a 5 year warranty so I thought all would be good.TLDR is I have had 6 emails with one person, often asking for duplicate information and telling me TWICE, that my replacement was being sent out.The replacements would not be the exact bulbs, but would have a switch to match the color temp. So the light will be consistent with the other 3 that are still functional.Still no replacement after 12 weeks.I called and spoke with another person, Susan?Who "looked into it", and called me back. After telling me, "you have waited 11 weeks, you can wait another day for me to get some details about the issue".Ummmm, ok, I guess. She calls me back the next day, and tells me that I will be getting replacements for both LED's that now have died.I go through the details and she tells me the replacements will be identical models.Ok, great. It has now been 15 weeks, and I still have no warranty replacements.I sent Amazon a customer service email, and have not heard back in over a week.Easily one of the worst experiences I have had with a product, Amazon or any other. You know, I get that things happen, people make mistakes and there are issues with post COVID world, and the whole new economy thing going on.And I appreciate that warranty and support are often thankless and difficult jobs. All that being said, don't tell me ,MULTIPLE TIMES that you are taking care of it,and then just ignore it.You waste your time and most of all, MY TIME.If there is an issue, just be honest about it.Don't string me.on and WASTE MY TIME.I paid for your product, and the expressly detailed contract of that product.Sunlite apparently is just not up to the task of operatng like a professional business. That's fine. But I would want to know this information before I spent a premium to purchase a replacement via Amazon.I will simply use Home Depot, as they handle warranty with relative ease. And a note to Amazon, your customer experience is not going the right direction.I understand there are realities with your business model, but that erosion of customer service makes brick and mortor a better alternative.

Effective replacement bulbs!
These new bulbs are so much brighter and they turn on right away instead of needing to wait for them to "warm up" to max brightness. They also use around 1/3 of the electricity of its CFL brethren. I'm so happy I upgraded and they are definitely an upgrade.ALSO: They just plugged right in. No wires to change.

A great choice for a fixture requiring a four pin bulb coupled with a flood lamp style can.
The State of California changed their building codes a few years back so that lights in kitchens and bathrooms must have a fixture that only accepts energy efficient bulbs. The builder of my home chose to use bulbs with a four pin base. They coupled this with a can intended for indoor floodlights. The problem with this particular combination is that it is impossible to hold the lightbulb by the base while installing or removing lightbulbs. Most of the four pin lightbulbs I have seen are composed of a coiled glass tube attached to a plastic base. Because it is impossible to handle the bulb by the base, I have been forced to hold the bulb by the coiled glass tube. It shouldn’t be surprising that I have broken many bulbs in my hand and had glass fall into my hair and face. These particular bulbs are a great solution to my problem. They are a much sturdier type of bulb. They are easy to install and remove without breaking the bulb. They are frankly more expensive than I would prefer. They are, however, more cost effective when I consider all of the new lightbulbs that I am no longer breaking.

Nice bright light
I replaced a gas tube because I was tired of replacing it every year or two for my porch. This is brighter and lower energy. The specs say it should last for many years.

Perfect for recessed lights in bathroom
I bought these bulbs after having a fantastic experience with the Sunlite 41349-SU LED PLD bulbs. Because the former are longer than the recessed lighting cans I have in my house, I bought the 88214-SU bulbs to fit in the "sealed" recessed lighting cans I have in my bathroom. They fit perfectly and provide excellent light. They are so much brighter than the old CFLs and never having to remove the old bulbs ever again make these LED bulbs a fantastic upgrade.

Color doesn't match
Ordered this bulb to replace the burnt out CFC bulb in my shower. I specified the warmest white color I could find, but it's still whiter than the CFC bulb it replaced. Now half of my bathroom is white and the other half is yellow. I recommend replacing all bulbs in the same room with the same color to get a perfect match. In my house, that means replacing over 10 CFC bulbs with LED's. Even with the price break, that's $50-$60. I'll stick with the CFC bulbs for now.

3 out of 6 bulbs burnt out in less than 18 months
installed six of these in our kitchen where I previously had CFLs that lasted 10 years. These cost 3-4 times a CFL replacement but 3 out of 6 stopped working at about 17 months. I 'm not an electrician but replacing CFLs with LEDs for fixtures meant to be specifically for CFLs probably simply does not work even though this is how these bulbs are advertised (perhaps falsely).
