How do you use these tools and what is the oil handle used for?

These are good tools. The oil lubricates the cutting wheel. The rotating head on the handle.allows for some flexibility in making complex cut. The two pliers allow “nibbling” on edges. One helps when you have a long straight cut. If you are getting started, a lesson helps. Good luck

I received the glass cutting kit with no instructions on how to use it

You will need oil for your cutter- then best suggestion is a class....but copy your pattern onto your glass and use the cutter like a knife until you hear a zipper sound tap and or tear the glass away!

Is this good for stain glass?

Yes, that is what I use my set for. Works well, only when you go to use the cutter don't put the glass cutting oil in the cutting tool - that's actually for all of the cutters I've used - it makes a terrible mess. You put the oil on a little rag inside a bowl or container of some sort, then put the cutter wheel down on top of the rag.

Does it come with oil or is that sold separately?

I didn’t get any oil with mine , don’t let that stop you from buying it. It’s simply a great glass cutter. This is one of the best that I have ever used and I have used many. The other tools included in the kit are also very good. Everything needed to cut glass from large pieces to small intricate pieces.
