I love this. I gave up coffee and this is an excellent alternative. It's much more affordable than the one with the dandelion root in it and I cannot taste the difference at all. I do wish it came in the handy single packets but for the price, I'm very very happy with this.

Great product if you can't drink coffee. I am caffeine sensitive ( heart races like crazy). I've tried many different brands of coffee substitute beverages, and by far this is the best tasting. Not only can I drink it as often as I want, it's very satisfying and healthy. No fillers or additives. A tasty grain beverage.

So I stopped drinking coffee by the pot because I didn’t like the idea of withdrawal symptoms should I not be able to get a cup. Hey, zombie dat could happen...who can fight zombies with headaches, nausea, and flu-like symptoms? I suffered all three of these for 4 days while wiping out my coffee addiction. Now I strictly have ONE cup of coffee a day, sometimes I’ve missed a day because Pero is simply that great! So I can honestly rate this in comparison to coffee because coffee isn’t completely out of my life...I still know what it tastes like...here’s the PROS because seriously I’ve found ZERO cons yet...and I’ve been enjoying Pero for over a month now! 1. It tastes EXTREMELY SIMILAR to coffee...minus the acidic taste, which can be high in coffee brands like Maxwell House or Folgers. The more “foo-foo” (as my hubby calls it) coffee brands aren’t as acidic to me, but PERO IS SMOOTH & DELICIOUS! You seriously will begin to favor it over coffee and wonder why you waited and hesitated to get Pero- DON’T! 2. MIXES BEAUTIFULLY! I’ve had ZERO ISSUES mixing this with hot water! It gets only slightly frothy but after swooshing my spoon around, the froth is gone! If you like cold coffee, try fridging it after mixing and allowing it to cool a bit. It stays mixed and no particles settle out. 3. BLEND IT! If you don’t want to go cold turkey on coffee but want to cut back on caffeine or the acid, pour 1/2 cup Pero to 1/2 cup coffee and enjoy! By 1/2 cup I mean eyeballing the levels in your mug....put your measuring cups away silly! It blends well with other coffee flavors meaning it complements them, not destroys them! These are my top 3 reasons for LOVING PERO! I spread the word to family & friends now looking to live healthier and kick the caffeine! The packaging is also great! The entire top lifts off so small scoops, large scoops, teaspoons, large spoons can fit inside! I think the VALUE IS GREAT! I got sooooo many cups of Pero in my first canister I lost track. I ALSO LOVE the fact you can simply take a teaspoon, add it to your cup, pour hot water over it, stir, and ENJOY! Simple to make...does NOT REQUIRE a coffee maker! No filters, no big mess, no big deal! Just toss your cup and spoon in the dishwasher when your done! So why are you still reading this? GO GET YOU SOME PERO NOW!

Pero is so much better than what they call Postum now. It is made the same way postum was made in the last century. I make it with either half milk, half water or all hot milk. It is so delicious using all hot milk and a little sugar. It is soothing on your tummy and the warm milk helps you sleep at night. There is a bit of stirring involved to get it dissolved, but well worth the effort.

Very good substitute for coffee. I like it. Taste like real coffee.

My first time trying it and it's great. I like the taste, easy on my stomach. No caffeine. Taste is very close to coffee. Highly recommend it.

We love this! It is such a great pairing with sweet desserts or just as a nice hot breakfast drink.

I find real coffee bitter and I dislike the jitters caffeine can create in me, so I tried a few coffee substitutes maybe 20 or 30 years ago. This hickory-based drink called PERO seemed like real coffee to my taste buds and I have renewed it from Amazon whenever I run out of it: To my thinking, this coffee substitute is delicious and I recommend it highly. (NOTE: I flavour it with milk and a bit of sugar)
