Brass nipple
These are really short nipples. Compared to an older fitting these are a 1/4" or 1/2" shorter overall.

Perfect solution to a clogged shower head and rusty water stains.
I replaced iron nipples in our Kohler RainTile shower head that our contractor had installed. These fittings fit perfectly and have eliminated the rusty water that sprayed every time the shower was turned on. Also, the rust had clogged the filter screens on 3 of the 4 spray heads. We hadn’t realized the full rainfall effect of the shower head until I replaced those iron fittings with these. Apparently, the rust had badly clogged the filters prior to our first use of the bath. These brass fittings are well made, a good value, and easy to install.
