Our aged cat actually looks forward to grooming now
Our cat, who adopted us over 20 years ago, had stopped grooming herself, probably because it was too much of an effort. She dislikes physical contact so I decided to buy this and give it a try. The transformation in her has been gradual but very effective. She actually invites us to brush her. At first we noticed a lot of dry skin coming off in the mountain of fur. But this has cleared and the fur has got less and less and she is beginning to look like a normal cat again. She has gone from a stand offish cat to one that enjoys three times a day groomings. Quite a result.

... seemed a bit flimsy compared to my previous Mikki easy clean brush
This brush seemed a bit flimsy compared to my previous Mikki easy clean brush. It does however do a great job on my Golden Retriever coat & is still going strong.

Purrfect indeed.
This is a replacement for another item I bought that just wouldn't clean properly.I was a little worried of the effect of the metal teeth on the cats skin. I'd tried it on my hand gently and it scratch a little.Anyway - having used it, gently on the cat, she cant get enough.I have given 4 stars due to the metal teeth, as I think you need to be careful around the face etc - but generally its great.(Updated to 5 Stars after longer use - the cat cant get enough of this!)the fact its so easy to clean is wonderful.Brush the cat. Push the button on the top of the brush, and off comes the hair in a neat mat. Purrfect.2018. - Updated with some photos.The cat loves this brush. Prefers a brush to food!

Good for longer hair.
We’ve used this brush type before when we had a Wheaten Terrier. We now have a Cockapoo with similar but curlier hair. The design of this brush is good for reducing cots in the longer hair and runs through the coat very easily. The button on the back of the brush assists in removing loose hair caught in the brush by pushing the bristle platform towards the end of the bristles and bringing the shed hair to the surface making cleaning easier.
