This backrest fits more than the Vulcan 900
Product shipped fast and the backrest is great quality except for the quality of the pad,it is described as a leather pad which is not correct but on the bright side. The backrest also fits the Vulcan 1600 perfectly would buy again

does not fit 2011 Vulcan 900 custom no pre drilled holes
like the price. do not like ease of installing without special tools. now need to pay expensive labor to make fit. I want to take out of box and install in one step. this is what you get when you trust the amazon search claiming it fits your vehicle. perhaps Amazon could update their search for vin number and not vehicle type model or year?

2022 Kawasaki v star custom. Good , quick, bang for your buck
Black finish came with no scratches , feels really strong. Minus the backrest but I’ll probably wind up changing the actually padding out with something bigger. But the metal feels really strong. MUST BUY NEW BOLTS. The stock bolts are too short. I bought 8M 35 screws and that worked just fine. Also needed to buy new screws and nuts for the luggage rack part to because the nuts have stoppers on them for whatever reason. But I paid 5$ and I’m really happen. Fit is REALLY TIGHT. I almost thought I’d crack the plastic on the fender piece but I didn’t. I put a piece of rubber on it to prevent the metal from scratching it because it definitely would have. 4/5.

Sissy bar doesn't fit
Doesn't fit like I wanted. Doesnt bolt up easy, you have to pry and twist the metal to make the holes line up. AIt will rub my paint job, therefore I'm sending it back.

Very Sturdy
Very well made. I had to get 2 bolts a half inch longer for the front holes but other than that it's very nice.

Little tight but made it work
So I have a ‘21 Vulcan and was able to install it last night. The left side was a pain to get on but the right side slid on like a glove. I only threatened to sell my bike 3 times while installing it. Looks great and I can finally strap down my biker elf to the luggage rack

***NEEDS SPACERS***
DOES NOT INCLUDE INSTRUCTIONS.See photos for referenceI own a 2008 Vulcan 900VN. I had to remove the chrome fenders, it would not fit over them and it would have broke the plastic. Once removing fenders it fit perfectly. I was able to re use the stock fender bolts. I did go buy small circular 5/16 washers. These are needed as “spacers” on the back rest. ( see photos ). If you do not use spacers it will not fit evenly on both sides. (2 washers each back rest bolt). It’s very solid once all together.***START FROM OUTSIDE AND WORK INWARD***(Sidebars then the luggage rack, hold together w bolt provided. Then add 2 washers (5/16), then sissy bar and plastic nut they provide. Tighten all together and your done. )
