It comes flat in plastic with the pump. It takes very little effort to pump it up and the little ones absolutely love these. Best twenty buck I ever spent.

This is othalate free but still pvc, the worst man made carcinogenic in the world? Does it being pthalate free really do any good at all in this case?

Someone else, who purchased three similar ones for her children, that when the legs touched the baseboards inside her house, it was taking the paint right off of them and transferring it to the toy. WOW! I hate to think of a little one playing on these. God only knows what is getting into their system.
