Brilliant, Helpful, No-nonense, Practical Tips and Advice
If you are expecting I am sure you are reading several books. If you're expecting twins, you know you're going to be doing double doody duty (couldn't resist) - all the time. How are you going to manage? Well, humor is a good place to start. But if not, I say start with reading this book. Natalie is a mother of twins and she speaks with honesty, compassion and humor! For me, this was hugely helpful. I think it is easier to judge than support - and Natalie's book is all about supporting your family for a successful transition to parenthood. Important practical tips that never even crossed my mind are detailed in the book. I am fortunate enough to live in the same city that Natalie teaches classes - NYC, but no matter where you live, read this book before your twins arrive. After reading the book I feel more confident that I will be able to tackle the hurdles that lay ahead with compassion and humor. Thank you Natalie from one woman to another for your non- BS, practical and supportive approach to twin parenthood.

Excellent info for first time mom pregnant with twins
As a first-time pregnant person with twins, I thought this book was great. I read the reviews before buying, and it was a bit of a mixed bag, but I very much enjoyed the book. I did think it leaned very heavily towards a traditional hetero couple and doctors being males situation that I was not fond of but thought the information was great. I also saw some negative remarks about her plugging her site, which is neither here nor there for me. I know of this book because of her site and have found it helpful, but the language is repetitive. I had some twin knowledge coming into the book, but the depth that she went into about delivery specifically really hit me. I will never be 100% ready or confident going into motherhood with twins, but I feel more ready than before. It is really hard to find books about twins, and this one is definitely something I will be referencing in the future once the babies arrive.

This should be the FIRST book you read once you find out you're expecting twins
I have looked through many baby books to try to calm my building panic of having twins on the way. None of them really worked to calm the nervous seas until this one. This book is an absolute gem and a must-have for any future parent of twins. From great checklist to help prepare yourself for the arrival of the little ones, through plenty of real life experiences and telling things how they are and not how they should be, to advice that makes sense - this book has been immensely helpful. The book is also well organized and very easy to read. I'm actually making my husband read parts of the book, because I think he won't hate it. I would highly recommend this book! *Disclaimer: I am only pregnant with twins and have no idea if this will help once the babies arrive, but at least now I feel like I have a fighting chance.

mixed feelings from a still-pregnant reviewer
I had mixed feelings on this book. The gear lists are great, though it seems like things like stroller recommendations will get very quickly out of date. I loved that it was a quick read, offered a lot of really helpful information, and that the author seemed to try her best to be inclusive. However, her messages were often so mixed as to be directly contradictory. In the same paragraph she calls nanny-cams "not a bad idea" and "generally not a good idea". She has a nice little section for lgbt parents, but spends the rest of the book referring to "your husband." While I was pleasantly surprised that she included plenty of accurate information on breastfeeding and even a little box on tandem baby-wearing, most of her advice will not be well received by the "crunchier" parents among us. She recommends feeding schedules starting right away and is a CIO advocate. That's not how I raised my daughter, and while she is understanding that some people are against it for ethical reasons (she doesn't go into evidence-based reasons for either camp) she comes across a bit dismissive: "you may want to read on anyway for when your plans change." Overall it seems very geared towards first time parents, not just first-time multiples parents. Honestly though, I've read enough parenting books to know that no one author is going to agree with me on every single issue, so that's not my biggest frustration with this book. What I don't like is the Constant. Freaking. Plugging. of her website! One or two mentions would be fine, but again and again I hear about the amazing community and blah blah blah. I already bought your book, stop selling me stuff. In conclusion, this book was about 50% helpful, 50% frustrating. I'll see if I sing another tune when my babies arrive, perhaps I won't laugh aloud at her suggestion to hire a professional organizer.

Must read for expectant twin parents👶👶
Amazing book that I would say is a must read for anyone expecting twins! This book helped me both plan for things I had never considered and accept the fact that twins are different and sometimes you have to just go with the flow. The two things I'm most greatful for from this book is that it helped me and my husband have a plan of him going with our baby B to the NICU so once she was out and they carted her off we didn't need to waste time trying to figure out what to do, and that there will be tears with twins which is what I told my husband when they were 4 days old and I was flown to a hospital 5 hours away to be treated for pre eclampsia he said me telling him that before I left really helped him get through it.

Very interesting, with a lot of tips and ideas that, as an expecting mother of twins, I am sure will be all very useful! Also funny and easy to read!

I had to do a double take at some of the authors ideas and insights and literally verify when this book was published, as it honestly read like a conservative 1950's book. The book offers little to no real insight as to what you can expect, when expecting two. Save yourself the trouble and find more interesting articles online. The book mentions hospital births and c-sections and that's about it. Advice about saving money include saving for college and your daughter's wedding. Practical advice as a means to save money, is not given, in fact simple things such as cloth diapering are mentioned as a mere side note; whereas disposables seem to be the preference here. There were many other things which irked me in this book. I forced myself to read through it, in its entirety, on the hope that there would be some sort of pertinent information. NONE!! Huge letdown!

I like the way the book is structured but the information in there is too much up to the opinion of the writer without much substance. Why, how?
