I was looking for shoes for my Pomeranian since I live in California where it can get super hot. A lot of the sizing is different for each dog shoe made so it’s really hard to gauge how small the small actually is I was hoping looking at reviews would help give me an idea of the sizes but it seems no one who has a dog under 10lb ever buys these things or leaves a review. I took a chance and bought the extra small size for my 6lb Pomeranian. When I got them in the mail this morning they were so small I was scared they might be to small! But they actually fit perfectly and he has no trouble walking in them nor does he display discomfort. They fit fine for the most part and only fall off if not strapped on properly or tight enough.If you have a dog with cat sized paws XS will do fine I think.

These shoes are cute, well made, and most importantly stay on my dog! The problem I've had with dog shoes in the past (the rubber balloon ones and the rain proof ones you can get at petsmart) was that they always slipped right off my dog as he walked or the rubber sole flipped over so he was always walking on the fabric instead of the shoe soles. Due to the zipper on these shoes (in combination with a Velcro strap) they are actually fairly form fitting on my dog's paws and don't slip and slide as he walks or slip off. That said, I think these are best for calm walkers as any sudden spurts of movement (running off after deer etc) will still send the shoes flying.Pros:-stay on during calm walking (fits to paws quite nicely)-cute design-sturdy rubber soles are perfect to protect dog paws from salt or inclement weatherCons:-shoes are made of foam (not really waterproof)-I wish they came in more insulated fabrics for the winter time/cold weather-will still fall off if your dog is being particularly rambunctious-runs small (make sure to actually measure your dog's paws; my dog wears medium jackets (he's a small dog) but required L size shoes)

I have tried so many types of dog shoes for my 13# King Charles Cavalier and nothing stays on except shoes with zippers and Velcro straps. These have worked the best for my dog (I am still using the shoes purchased a year ago). Unfortunately, her hind feet are smaller than the front so I need to make sure the Velcro straps are very tight around her ankle bone. While walking, I check periodically to make sure one hasn’t pulled off in a snowbank. These are easy to clean. Zip them up, secure the Velcro strap, toss them into the washing machine and then the dryer. If I have delicate items in the wash load, I will put them in a lingerie bag.

I gave a 5 stars because the quality is good and they are absolutely adorable. However there are size issues . I ordered a small for my cocker because he's too small for narmal medium boots but theses are too small . But I would buy them again

Way tooo small...i ordered XS because my dog has always XS size and he's 3 month old Lhasa Apso..XS would fit to chihuahuas...i have an 8lb puppy and i cant believe this is soooo tiny...i have read a lot of reviews they even ordered XL and still tooo small..so i think my dog would be a Large size instead. Anyway, i cannot return this item, i tried to cancel this after i order and they did not ship it yet but they won't cancel it. It's so unfair

These are perfect for our 13 lbs. Jackhuahua. The rubber sole is soft and flexible which is great for the dog's mobility. The fabric is soft as well and the quality seems well made. We had other similar shoes before where the thin and stiff rubber sole just fell apart where it was glued on. Overall, I highly recommend this product. However, don't expect your dog to get used to walking is these shoes right away. It took me almost a month of persistent walk every day to get him to get used to walking in these. You must to be patience and walk at snail pace at first then gradually increase speed over time. Our 13 year old dog can hike for 10 miles or so in 90+ degree heat when he has shoes on.

Super cute! They fall off every now and then, but they work for the purpose we wanted them to and like I said, they’re adorable.

Cat got them off easily and didnt seem to pleased said in the descrption that you could put them in cats but obviously not
