Works great
Works great and love that it has a magnet on the back to attach to my fridge when not using it.

Better design
This is my second one, the first one I’ve had for many years until it finally quit. The new one has easier to read buttons which is good as I am getting older. I could hear the loud alarm when I was using my outdoor bbq from the kitchen. love it!

Works great for prime rib
I've used this probe for years to keep my prime rib from being over cooked. They work great and are simple to use. I just bought three more for Christmas presents. A must have for cooking any meat you want done just right and not overdone.

Works Well, But Has Errors in Description
First, this seems to be working well. So no real complaints. However, there are several errors the the description. In one place it says it uses 1 AAA battery, in another place it says it uses two. Well...it only uses 1 AAA battery. It also lists the probe cord length as being 4 feet long. My cable measured 3' in length from. So this made this very difficult to use in my smoker. The numbers are easy to read straight on. If you are looking at the unit at an angle (above or below) it is almost impossible to read. Everything else on the unit is easy to set, adjust, etc. The target temperature will always default to 212 degrees when you turn the unit on.I will keep and use this unit, but had I known about the actual probe cable length I would not have ordered it. Please give consideration to this short cable before ordering.

Very Fragile Damaged Easily
We have 3 of these purchased from Amazon. We use them to measure the temperature of the meat while we are grilling. 2 of the 3 do not work now. They are very fragile. If you drop one and it lands on the side with the probe it will damage the interior connector and the meter will not read the temperature any longer. I have had another brand that we used for more than 10 years and they never stopped working because they fell off the bbq once or twice like these have. I recommend finding another product if you need a thermometer like this.

It pays to get a NAME brand. THE SENSOR IS STUCK AT !84F
Taylor has great products . This one is solid. It is well thought out and easy to use.Update-- after a short time the probe is stuck at 186F no matter what I do. I do not understand the problem. Even the ice in the freeser reads 186F.I am sorely disappointed in this products quick failure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Update-- a warrant replacement has been approved!

Most Value For The Money!
Brutal honesty here...I wish for a multi-probe, Bluetooth thermometer for grilling while I stay inside the house during inclement weather. That being said, this is my second one of these. The first one lasted about 4 years under constant, nearly daily use. The braided shield on the probe finally broke from being flexed too many times and it would no longer give readings. I tried to get a replacement probe, but found it more economical to simply purchase a whole new unit.I love the way it works. It is extremely accurate, and I WON'T COOK MEAT WITHOUT IT!I also use it for other stuff besides meat too. I use it in my conventional oven, in my Air Frier, and on the BBQ. I can get meat cooked to perfection every time. I can be sure it is fully done, while not drying it out and having to chew burnt leather!I use it for timing boiled eggs. I set the temp for just below boiling (205 deg.) And drop the probe in the pot of water and eggs. When the temperature alarm goes off, I set the timer to accurately time how long the eggs are boiled. That makes for perfect, consistent hard boiled eggs every time! The price of this unit is lower than any others that I have seen with similar features. When I consider how much food it has saved me from ruining, it is hands- down, the most valuable tool in my kitchen!

Finally
I’ve used probably 6-8 different meat thermometers in the past few years. This thermometer I’ve been using regularly for around a year grilling, smoking, and anything indoors. It’s more accurate than any other thermometer and has held up extremely well compared to others. I just bought another as a backup since I’ve had my first one around awhile.
