This kindlebook Write Your Own Magic; The Hidden Power In Your Own Words by Richard Webster is a unique kindlebook for helping me to craft and write goals both involving ones that I'm aware that I have significant control over andor goals that are part of my life plan/destiny/life purpose. I am learning the longer I am alive that it is easier to accomplish a certain goal even if I know it is a big dream if I take some time for myself to make sure that it is intuitively and/or logically aligned with my life purpose. I prefer to keep it secret how I determine what may be andor is aligned with my life purpose even when I know it is a big dream andor regardless of what I am told by well meaning critics. I am only speaking for myself and I logically understand that for other people-whether supporters or critics- their experiences are going to be different. What do I mean by this? An example of something that I logically understand that I do have significant control over being an American born female even when I know some popular critics may tell me otherwise-where I choose to live in the U.S. and how long I choose to live there regardless of the type of employment I am blessed to have. What I humbly understand is more or less something I must take into account my life purpose when planning-the type of careers I choose andor schooling. With that clarification added, the following is contained in this unique kindlebook that is Write Your Own Magic by Richard Webster; writing a letter to yourself, the four steps, big dreams and little dreams, what to do if your childhood seems to give little indication as to your interests/what you want to be doing, your five year plan, how to determine what to ask for, your magical diary, and more.

I love love love this book. You have to pause after each chapter to do the exercises but in my opinion it is worth it. This book gives you step by step instruction on how to truly manifest they life that you desire. A perfect book for beginners and for those who haven't practiced in quite sometime. I will suggest this book in some of my Facebook groups.

I choose a five star because this book is so much fun and gives hope that it will actually work! I have had some good things happen since I have bought this book - cause I want to believe in magic? Or, just chance? No matter - makes me feel empowered just by having this book. It's white magic that can only help you and give you hope. It's mostly fun doing the candle magic and after everything you're suppose to do, it's a wonderful feeling staring into the flames and throwing good thoughts out into the universe! I think we all have a hidden power within ourselves and maybe - maybe this book will bring it out. But beware, do only good because what goes around, come back around to you! Enjoy!!

I love it when the concept of magic is backed up by basic psychology. Writing is the most powerful tool in the arsenal of any magical practitioner, and this book really gives you a solid base. The bit about numerology is quite useful, however the bits involving stones and candles seem like they were thrown in at the last minute. I would've liked to see more of the magical alphabets, as there are MANY more than the three listed in here. All in all, though, a great book to have, especially if your speciality is sigils or anything to do with the written word.

Loving it. Many of the ideas are similar to the secret but obviously it focuses more on the power of writing and what it can do for us. I highly recommend this book. The anecdotes and advice for using writing as magic are helpful and entertaining.

This is in my top 5 favorite pagan books. Webster does a fantastic job of inspiring you and guiding you to do things in your own creative way. I highly recommend all of Webster's books as his stuff is easy to read and understand.

it's ok

Excellent reading

I already own two books by this author. Each of his books contain a real enthusiasm, He makes you actually believe you can do it, but, if you can't do it at first, you are encouraged to "pretend", the power will ultimately manifest. The introduction explains the power of words and how ancient cultures used secret writing, or cryptography to cast spells. Writing your magic is explained, along with the required preparation and mindset. The author also explains the importance of meditation and helpful mantras. Various techniques are given including sigils and Kameas. I have only scratched the surface here, But hope that I have whetted your appetite. Anyone who has a genuine interest in writing and, indeed magic will, I am sure benefit from this book. Safe to say, this comes from the man who taught me to dowse, with pendulum and rod...

A well composed book on how to prepare the writing of personal book of shadows. I am still reading it and find something new that inspires me.

I liked this little book more than I expected to. Like a lot of Webster's work, he 'writes around' the subject a lot (there are chapters on crystals, candles etc. that have little to do with writing) and there's not much meat to the actual chapters there are on writing (fortunately there are a number of other books out there on the topic of writing magic for those seeking something more substantial). Still, I was expecting that so wasn't disappointed. In fact I found the simple techniques included on using writing to clearly identify what you actually want (which might not necessarily be the same thing as that which you think you want) and the channels by which you might actually obtain it, both useful and illuminating. Worthwhile for a quick read and some handy techniques.
