My wife weighs 235, would this work for her? She is 5'3".

I'm 4'11" and I have been using this knee scooter for almost 2 years. I have added an add'l cushion and removed the hand break which never worked and probably causes many accidents which could have been avoided by using your own power to stop, but other than that I have made no other adjustments. The seat is just barely low enough for me (24" inseam) but I got used to it quickly and now the only time it causes me trouble is if I'm hauling ass or going a long distance at one time. 2 hour Walmart trips are no problem since it's stop and go. My max weight has been 165 lbs but I have on many occasions bogged this sucker down with as many grocery bags/water bottles I could fit on it and other than front tipping due to weight distribution when I wasn't being the counterweight it holds strong no problem. The only reason I am looking to replace mine is after 2 years of use and mine has hard tricycle type tires that have gotten too slick, it feels 'loose' dispite all bolts being tightened. I LOVE how lightweight it is since I have to lift it In and out of a GMC Envoy everywhere I go. Mine looks different than the 1 in these pics and has another black knob at the bottom of the steering column and unless I'm missing something it's a huge pain in the ass to pull apart and fold down so I never fold it. A bungy cord connecting the handle bar end to the center of the leg holes on a shopping cart and you can steer yourself and zip around the store just by pushng the cart. After looking around at the few other options for short sized humans, this Oasis Space has the lowest knee rest, highest weight maximum by about 90 lbs and it by far the lightest and for these reasons I will most likely replace it with this same model when the time comes as it does still have a LOT of life left in it and there's nothing out there better for my needs. I have RA and bone on bone OA in my right ankle but do usually have the ability to bear weight/walk albeit with much pain and difficulty so I plan to use a knee scooter indefinitely until the time comes that I can no longer bear weight and require surgery as I live alone and could not take care of myself on my own for 8 weeks recovery. I got mine from Amazon.  Try pharmacies. Some have that kind of medical equipment or they can guide you as to where to get one. Also check Marketplace on line.

How big are the wheels

The wheels are about 6" diameter.  Steady for all sharp corners, unless you're trying to be a 'kid'.  Made getting around SO much easier, after foot surgery.  Best of luck getting and using it.  I'm not donating it to the local lending equipment group, until I get the second bunion fixed!
