Does the acetone can have a mixing ball inside? I don’t hear it when I shake the can and strike it on my shoe to knock it loose.

Mine all have an agitator ball. However is can sometimes take a tremendous amount of shaking to get it loose. Keep trying!

is the acetone version a clear coat primer and will it help spray paint adhere to glass? I am looking to backpaint glass and need a good primer.

This is a product designed to clean your caps after use. Previously called "Cap Cleaner". It can also be used for creating mixed media artwork effects such as reactions with the paints. We do not produce a clear primer. You could most likely use one of our varnishes as a sort of primer depending on what products you are looking to backpaint with. If you go this route I highly recommend doing a test prior to starting a larger project to ensure you dont run into compatibly issues.
