GrandDaughter loves them
I have loved these books for my daughter and now I send them to my granddaughter so she can laugh too. My Son and his wife like them as well, because they have subtle humor that adults get, but may go over the kids head.Good Fun for all!

Brilliantly funny
This book is so clever! I love the way the author wove humor and educational elements about punctuation into the story. The word play and spirit of the story make it so much fun to read. The interview page, especially, had me laughing out loud. I highly recommend this book - it'll have kids laughing, learning and begging for it to be read again!

Great book for kids, enjoyable for parents
My five year old has loved the previous book, 7 ate 9 for at least a year, and I get a kick out of it every time I read it too. It's a great story for kids, but also full of whitty puns I can appreciate. So when I saw they had a new book coming out, I grabbed it for my son for christmas, and we have had to read it to him almost every night since, and he is not usually the type to want to read the same thing over and over. My husband is sick of it after several months, but I still appreciate the quality of the story, which is just and clever as the first book, and the illustrations. Highly recommended!!!

A great read-aloud for little ones and older kids too
Tara Lazar keeps coming up with the puns in this sequel to 7 Ate 9: The Untold Story. In The Upper Case, every page is filled with them, so that both parents and kids alike will discover something new on each reading. This is a great book for all ages. Little ones will like the funny detective story and enjoy pointing out letters they recognize, while older kids will appreciate more of the clever wordplay. The bright and bold illustrations wonderfully enhance the mood set by Private I, the perfect hard-boiled detective.

Fun read
Private I is enjoying the calm after solving the case of 7 Ate 9 when Question Mark bursts in with the mystery of the century. Mark is worried that all the capital letters are missing! However, Private I has a hard time believing him since this is Capital City. As Private I is the last letter standing, he will have to solve the mystery before it's too late. The book was a fun laugh out read. The cute book made learning fun with witty jokes and silly puns. An adorable read for any young child learning the alphabet.
