HC Gamerlife PS4 No Sweat Close Thumb Stick Grips

The product is exactly what they say it is. The covers fit over the existing PS4 thumb sticks beautifully and snug. They won't come off as other reviews of competitors say they do. I give the product a 5 for what it is, but a 4 because of the following experience. Although, due to my own lack of "paying attention" to detail. I had perceived wrongly that I was getting more than just the one set of covers for the price. The pictures that are presented on Amazon for sale, are a wonderful summary of how and what each different set of thumb covers and "sniper extenders" look like on both the PS4 and XBOX One controllers. I guess I had looked at so many different versions for a similar price, I got confused and ordered too late at night. Word to the wise, just be aware that regardless of the pictures that are presented, you only get ONE set for the price, as you choose the correct picture. Also, now that I have tried the "convex" (think of a surface of a ball), minimum thickness cover, I don't much care for it. I like the concave surface as the existing PS 4 controller has. The reason is because I get a stronger edge/ridge that gives me more control when I am playing fps games, instead of sliding off the surface like this cover. I did not realize the difference until I tried the convex shape. So, after playing with a few different types of covers/extenders, I will now look for a mid-height extender that gives me the best control for playing both sniper at times and a run and gun at others. If you are not sure of what you like, my hind-sight recommendation would be to buy one of the packs that has several different types; concave and convex at various heights for not much more than this product costs; which is what I thought I was getting (again my fault). Then once you find the one you really like, buy a higher quality individual product like this one for more money, if you need to. I like this well made product, just not the type I now know I want. Due to quality and how it does what they say I will likely buy again from this vendor, but the correct one for me :-)

I love my PS4 but I immediately hated the thumbsticks. No texture, too rounded, and I feel like they actually *caused* my thumbs to sweat. These covers fixed all those problems. They are hard rubber that has to be stretched over the thumbsticks and they have a very slightly rounded surface covered in little bumps. The Close Combat doesn't add any height to the sticks like the Snipers do, so they don't much change the handling of the thumbsticks. They just give a lot more grip. The Snipers are good too, but I prefer these for Destiny. The only caveat is that these are really hard to get onto the sticks. I would suggest you not try and install them while the PS4 is on because you are going to be moving the sticks a lot and hitting random buttons. Once they're on, they stay on, though. Also, I don't think that they could possibly damage the thumbsticks like some of the other covers on the market.

Very useful- really helps add a bit of height to the sticks. PS4 sticks are not ideal for FPS. This goes a long way towards helping improve accuracy. Noticeable difference.

Really didn't like them. I see why people would, but they just didn't do the job for me.

Awesome...just don't try removing the original covering, they need them to fit properly.

Works as advertised. Was easier to get on than I thought it would be too.

Once you get used to the prickly feeling of the grips themselves they do just what they say, keep slips to a minimum and help with quick movements.

I never knew how much the stock grips sucked until I got these! The difference is incredible! I can't recommend these enough!
