Dr. Frederick's Waterproof Braces - Highly Recommend
This waterproof brace worked great in the shower for me. I have a torn ligament (TFCC injury) in my wrist and tendonitis and arthritis in my other wrist and it was very painful to shower and wash my hair. I felt that a waterproof brace would be helpful so I searched and I found this one. It worked very well for me while my wrists healed. They gave enough support to make the showering less painful. I liked that there were four braces in the pack, since I needed to use one on each wrist, and there were two backups. I had to use powder in them to get them on. They are easy to get off after the shower. I am grateful that this company thought to make waterproof braces. I highly recommend these braces.

Convenience, comfort and protection with Gel Thumb & Wrist Brace
I like the Gel Thumb & Wrist Brace especially the fact that it’s so lightweight and waterproof. I think that it will be beneficial in helping with the arthritic thumbs. I order the small but it seems a bit tight. I’m so impressed that I’m going to exchange for a medium to assure that I’m not wearing it too tight.

Works surprisedly well
I honestly was not expecting this to work at all and thought I might be wasting my money, but I was shocked.I typed a lot for my work and am on the computer all day. My wrist and thumb area has been sore for some time after a fall. I have tried so so many different types of wrist/thumb braces. But a lot of them got in the way of my typing. So I gave this a go.It fits super snug. It will look like it won't fit and will be too tight, and while it takes some getting use to when putting it on, once you get it on, and adjust the brace to where you want it to sit, it's quite comfortable. It's gel, so even if it gets wet, it's not a big deal, just dry it off. It's like wearing a second skin that is hugging your wrist and thumb. It was comfortable to type with and kept the pain at bay while I was wearing it.If it starts to feel a bit tight, I just pull it out and re-adjust it and it fixes the problem. If what are you needing is just a compression wrist brace with thumb, give this a whirl. If you are needing more support and need to immobilize the tendon area at the base of the thumb, this isn't for you, remember, with this brace all your joints can move.

Love/Hate Relationship
So..I'm conflicted. I loved these at the start, but a few weeks in wearing them I'm finding some issues.I have DeQuervains Tendonitis in both of my hands, worst in my right hand. I'm a home health nurse who's independently, my hands take abuse from transfers etc.I bought these because a normal brace is impossible to keep under knit trial gloves for work. These braces are great because you can wear them under gloves, but the thumb part tends to roll back. Granted, that's much more minor than a giant brace under a glove.I usually have to powder hands before putting these on, or impossible ( the Package does state that)I wear these 3–4 times a week and I've noticed there are parts of the brace starting to peel/wear away. Though they are silicone, they don't seem to have very much strength for normal wear and tear. The right thumb is ripping so they're loose with no compression now. There is no thumb support with these – but I do have to say it's amazing how much it helps my tendinitis. The pressure of them and the way they sit on my hands does do wonders. So if anything they do help my pain, while providing a minimal brace so I can glove up constantly at work. The only complaint is maybe the quality, they are starting to break down in less than one month. So it's a 50/50.The first few weeks cool- but after less than a months they're ripping, no compression and essentially crap. Waste of $11 because I was so excited for these

Too tight for me
Compression is HIGH. Probably too much for me. I am 5’7 and 155lbs, I bought the medium but it’s very tight on me. After wear for less than an hour I could not feel my tips of my thumb. And the material is not breathable. Be aware if you are wearing it on a hot day

PERFECT material, they work GREAT!
WOW….where do I start?! These Waterproof Thumb & Wrist Braces are a game changer, for sure! As a pianist and harpist, and a senior citizen, my wrists are wracked and painful most of the time now. I’ve tried many types of braces but this silicone gel is a different animal altogether! They do take a bit of time to put on and take off, I’m not gonna lie, but once they’re on, that’s it - they don’t move unless you move them, and if you get something on them, you can easily wash it off! They come 4 to a pack, which is nice, because if you take one set off to wash, there’s another set to wear, and, I have not had to use powders at all, as mentioned in one of the reviews, but I do take care when putting on or taking off so as not to tear them, as I read one of the reviewers mentioned that. They have just the right amount of compression, too. As for sizing, I initially bought both Small and Medium. I usually wear a Medium, and they turned out to be true to size, so I returned the Small, but placed an order for 6 MORE BOXES of the Medium! I do agree with one of the reviewers that it’d be nice to come in actual skin tone color(s), or if not that, then black? Either way, I’m done shopping for thumb and wrist braces, I found exactly what I need in this silicone gel product! 1,000 thanks to Dr. Frederick’s! ☺️
