FABULOUS TOOL!
This is a professional-quality, very handy, compact, multi-use device. I use it 4-5 times a week on all of my firearms. The 1911 bushing wrench is great for my Wilson Combat CQB, which fits very tightly. The Real Avid bushing wrench makes easy work turning it. All of the tools are tough, high quality, and just WORK. PERIOD!

Good quality-Excellent Tool-Needs better Quality Control
I had my eye on this tool for a while and kept telling myself I didn’t need it-and I didn’t, until I added another 1911 to my collection. The Pros: • The build quality and feel of this tool is excellent. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy as other similar tools do. • The included allen keys are a huge plus, although are too small for my immediate needs. I can see how individuals with lasers or red dots mounted to their handguns may find these incredibly useful. You do need to push these into place to secure them. The scraper tool keeps these covered and may keep them from falling out completely, though. • The bits included with the tool fit snugly into the magnetic bit driver, thanks to the small bearings built into each bit. The bit driver also has a file on its underside. I'm a bit skeptical of this as I don't think it would be very practical, however it may be helpful in a pinch to file down any burrs, roughly. • The receiver for the pin punch can take standard cleaning rods-this was another unexpected but welcome feature. • The Tanto blade is sharp out of the box with no chips. • The bushing wrench is the real reason I bought this multi-tool. It fits my full size Sig 1911’s perfectly and makes it so much easier to take down the handgun. The Cons: • I’ve added two pictures here from the detachable pin punch. When I was unscrewing the punch from its receiver, I could feel that there was something wrong-while slowly unscrewing the punch, I could hear a crunching/grinding noise. The threads on the punch were greased heavily & you can see metal shavings on the threads. I was able to wipe this down and use some cotton patches and swabs to clean out the receiver. This seems like a manufacturer defect/QC issue. Perhaps when the receiver was threaded, metal shavings were left behind. From what I can see, there is no damage to the threads on the punch. • I really wish this had a clip or carabiner so I can clip it to my range bag or keep it secured in my pockets. Others have stated that the bits have snapped with little pressure. I’ve only used the flat head bit on my rail mounted flashlight and had no issues, although time will tell, I do not suspect these bits will break under regular use. I will definitely be buying at least one more of these as a back up in case I lose or damage this one, and will definitely be buying a couple as gifts for friends. Again, is this an absolute need if you’re a 1911 owner? No, but you’ll thank yourself for having it in your range bag and making your life a little bit easier.

A must have
I keep this in my range bag and I’m considering getting another one for my bench too since I’m alway moving it around so much back and forth. I use the punch every time for cleaning all styles of firearms, the driver set is handy in a pinch, the Allen keys are smaller than you’ve ever seen and perfect for sites and screws on pistols. The knife is sharp and the 1911 keys work like a charm. My only complaint is that the driver bits aren’t standard size, they’re small diameter which is fine but you can’t interchange them from another set. Either way it’s a pretty solid and well built tool.

Simple, Practical and Effective!
Once this baby came in the mail it was time to put it to work right the nexg day. I got this to perform a complete takedown of my 1911 for a polish. Performed flawlessly taking out the barrel bushing, hammer, sear, disconnector and the most difficult pin of them all, the spring housing. That took quite a bit of hammering but it came out. I love how sharp the knife is. Very solid built and sharpness it perfect. All the bits that come with this tool are what I literally needed. I also tightened my Eotech 512 on my AR perfectly with the T15 (the number looks so small I can't tell if it's a 5,6 or even an 8) I didn't get the original tool for it. The 3/8 flathead worked well on taking out the magazine release on the 1911. A very solid tool, perfect for what I needed it. I am no gunsmith or arms expert but I do what I need to do to my guns. Cleaning, lubrication and teaching friends how to take apart their guns. We'll see how this bad boy holds up in the long run. Thank you AVID for such an awesome tool!
