A great product with a great company behind it
This tape is part of a roof coating system that works well. I had a leaking metal roof over my porch that two different roofers attempted to fix, but their repairs never held up for any length of time. I finally decided to fix it myself. This very sticky tape, along with a couple of other Ames Research products, fixed it once and for all. The company's support is great. I sent them a couple of photos of my roof, and they told me what I needed to buy. The instructions on the packages were clear. I highly recommend Ames Research products.

Very Good Product
My FORMER roofer repaired my roof by installing new asphalt rolls on my flat roof. However, he failed to secure some of the seams between the rolls (now you know why he is my FORMER roofer). I purchased this seam tape to secure the asphalt seams myself and this tape really works well. Make sure you clean the seam area of dirt and debris and use a 2-4" rubber roller to apply the seam tape. I applied an additional layer of flashing cement (with mesh) over the seam tape as additional protection. You must remember that this is SEAM TAPE and that it will eventually succumb to the weather (rain, sleet, heat, and snow) unless you put some protective material over it (like flashing cement, or liquid rubber). I no longer have to worry about water getting underneath the asphalt seams any more. This is a very good product.

Would give it 6 stars if I could
This tape has allowed me to confidently repair and seal many different projects as I do home renovation work and sometimes the agreed upon scope of demo doesn't allow for complete replacement of compromised and water damaged openings (be it window, door or otherwise). The 2" version is really convenient as it applies easily and I have never seen it delaminate when applied to a clean surface.

Follow directions.
It is no joke, it is clothe like and sticks where you put. Put two coats of ames blue max on it and it seals very well.

Wow, it sticks and I mean sticks
Stickiest tape I think I've ever used. Make sure to apply carefully because once it touches something it's stuck, which is exactly what you want given its purpose.

but was easy to peel off when exposed to the wet cement ...
It worked covering up the crack I had, but was easy to peel off when exposed to the wet cement from the rain. It also did not stick well with the Sealant over it.
