Good stuff, great coverage. I have an old pair of hiking boots that the toes were worn down. This completely revived them. They were a weird brown, but now there’s a beautiful espresso dark brown. I also used this to revive a vintage black clutch. It looks like new. Easy to use.

After receiving this item and looking at the “Fiebing’s Store” on Amazon I got a little confused about what I actually bought. Even though in the description it says it’s a leather dye the bottle says “Leather Color.” So I called Fiebing’s and asked if there was a difference. Turns out the dye is alcohol based, the color is water based and intended for “prisons, hospitals and schools.” This might explain several of the bad reviews about the product being different than the previous times used (although, I suspect some people are using it without deglazing previously dyed leather and I think at least one person might have used it on vinyl?). Also, when I mentioned that I bought the product from the Fiebing’s Amazon store I was told they don’t have one. I said you can click on the link at the top left of the product page and go to the “Fiebing’s Store”. The gentleman said “yeah, they have some funny rules on Amazon about that … but we do not have an Amazon store.” He was nice about the situation but I got the vibe that I wasn’t the first person to be duped into thinking the store using the company’s name was affiliated with the actual company. IMO that’s shady af for Amazon to make it look like a company is actively selling their products here when they aren’t. ***the one star is for the bait and switch Amazon does here, not for anything purchased from fiebing.com or other retailers***

My daughter got this product a year ago. I needed to paint a leather bag and I used the remaining. Accidentally I spilled, so I ordered again. When I received it ,the label looked different, but I didn’t pay attention to that, because I needed it. The issue with this product is that every time I grab the bag it stains my hands. I waited days , because may be it needed time to dry. But still stains my hands. It didn’t happened with the first product. I bought a satin finish to apply to the bag , but I’m worried it could be worst. Maybe I did something wrong , I think I read the instructions.

Its not leather dye . Not even give black look, finish product like dark brown.

I think the product is great but it didn’t work great for my application. Unfortunately the water based stains are inferior to their alcohol based ones but said stains are very difficult to get in Canada. I used this on car seats that were prepared properly but no matter what I did I could not get an even finish
