The brim does not quite extend enough to keep the sun out of your face but I needed something to keep my long hair from flying everywhere in the wind. It's a beautiful blue. One could say it's very trendy which bothers me but actually I live in a city where men mostly wear baseball caps so this does stand out in a nice way. Once it's worn a bit, it will look nicer. I love the cap. I bought a large but had to return it as my head was medium so try to avoid that beforehand (and I thought I was big headed plus I have a paunch but heads and waists have different sizes - I didn't even know heads had sizes!) The inner strap will allow some degree of tightening but not enough to allow a nice fit if you have the wrong size. It's a quality cap, and to repeat, the blue and black weave, with subtle orange and red lines are truly stunning! Thus, it's more comfortable, useful and beautiful.

I just got this cap in and it is tight, which is odd because my head size is right in the middle of the 'large' size range in their listing.I measured the interior circumference of the band with a tailor's tape, and as I suspected, it is smaller than advertised. I get 23" even and the size range for Large is 23 5/8- 24 1/4", if memory serves. So this cap is really a medium even though it is tagged as large.I've ordered an XL and if that IS true to size it will be too large. I"m hoping that this one will be sized a bit small too and all will be okay.I hate to ding a nice cap like this a star because of this issue, but sizes need to be true to the advertised to have a positive shopping experience.Will update when new cap arrives.

This is my husband’s first Irish flat cap and he really loves everything about it. The style, the comfort, the craftsmanship and the just right amount of warmth it provides in the dead of winter here in Wyoming for the style of haircut he has. Personally I’m equally impressed with everything as well knowing this man is one of the hardest men to shop for. We both feel not only does it complete but, it complements fashionably his style of clothing that he wears. I know he has made it abundantly clear he has all intentions of purchasing more of various colors from Mucros Weavers to go with other outfits he has. Our apologies for the black & white photo but, my husband is currently intrigued with black & white photography. We’ll be seeing you soon to purchase more.

The hat looks exactly like the picture. It fits perfect and is comfortable. Really worth the money.

The medium fits perfectly for the 56 cm measurement. The fabric and construction are of very high quality. It has a quilted lining which means he can wear it 3 seasons in Wyoming. The back of the cap fits far enough down on the back of his head that it stays on in the wind (a plus in WY). We are extremely pleased with the quality, fit, and price.

I've made a few mistakes ordering clothing online, but this was not one of them. This cap fits perfectly, appears extremely well-made and looks fantastic (even better than it does in the photos) ... I'll be back for more.

Outstanding craftsmanship. Very nice material. Took abit to get, but well worth the wait. The minute I placed it on my head, a wee voice whisper that a pint of gat at the sheebeen sleveen might be grand. Recommend and will purchase again.
