Best Leaders for the Money!
I love Maxima leaders, its all that populates my tackle box. I have every weight available between 2 and 12 pounds and they all perform excellently. Good knot strength, high sensitivity, and I believe low stretch. Sometimes when I am using 2 pound leader and I hook a 2 pound smallmouth it will stretch out and loose its stretch/elasticity, but at that point I just replace it. I have landed up to a 3 pound smallie on 2 pound test, its just all about setting your drag correctly. You can surely tell when it has been stretched out, it loses its "softness" and sometimes want to wind up, but most of all it just wont stretch anymore. They break very rarely and I believe have great corrosion resistance. A little spendy, but you get what you pay for.

Strong and supple
I have used 40# for salmon for years. No failures.

Superb Real Man's line
Great line overall. It has been superb leader & tippet material for me for >30 years in multiple locales:bonefish flats(where coral & mangroves threaten),lakes for panfish(stumps),rivers big and small for trout(coontail moss & logs), & my neighborhood lake for catfish that ruin streamers & grind lines. It was light enough for inshore tossing of poppers on a 10 wt.for popio(even chameleon, which appears to float less) and dry muddlers for smallmouth in Hells Canyon.Clear & UG may spook fewer fish than Chameleon(tho I have never been able to tell).Tarpon do not seem to mind the color. It knots beautifully(esp.blood knot) in most sizes. The only downside seems to be its stiffness(minor) & maybe lack of stretch for some tastes.Abrasion resistance, overall strength,& value keep it number one in my book.Of course it's not replacement for wire shock when fishing near cudas, billfish, alligator gar, etc.

Maxima ultragreen for trout fishing tippet.
Maxima Ultragreen is my favorite tippet for trout fishing. I hesitate ordering online because it needs to be hand tested to make sure it’s fresh. Cabelas and BassPro are hit and miss if the have it in the store. Older stock will snap when pulled to test. The line I received was good.

Excellent strength & knot tying
Expensive when shipped, but glad this is available in high strength. The ultragreen may not be quite as abrasion-resistant as the chamelion, but appears to be less visible subsfc. I use it to build leader butts for 3-12 weight fly lines.Forms nail- or barrel-knots easily. Consistently exceeds stated test strength.

Very durable
Great leader material. 2lbs held up to big trout.

Respooled a couple dozen reels with Braid.
Had about 15 inherited spinning and level wind fishing reels to respool plus a dozen of my own. Appropriate amount of mono backing, plus @ 75 yards of braid. Rinse gear in fresh water to clean any color bleed. Good value.

Good leader but would not buy at full price
It's a nice leader, but it goes on sale often enough. I would not pay more than 10$ for it. Did catch lots of trout with it. I am not sure what more needs to be said about it.
