Conntek 29274-LCP 20-Foot Piggy-Back Float Switch Cord

Just received this piggyback cord today. Looks to be good quality. Other reviews said it was 12 awg. It is not. It is 2mm squared which is equivalent to 14 awg.

These are really well made, heavy duty cords. Unlike other light duty piggyback series cords these are 12/3 which provides for grounding. Also they are 20 feet long which enables them to be used in numerous ways. A really nice cord!

Great replacement cord

This is wired correctly for a remote switch. The white and black conductors connect/break the hot blade of the plug from the hot female connection. The green/yellow conductor attaches to the ground on your switch. It's has ring terminals on the stranded conductors so you're code compliant.I used it to make a remote power switch with a magnet on the back.

This cord uses the hot side for switching, this cord is marketed for use with a float switch, if you use it for a float switch and the float leaked, the water the float is in would potentially become charged with line voltage, if the cord used the neutral side there would be no potential of line voltage in the water.

I bought this to connect to a momentary power foot switch. The pedal I had ordered came with a cable that did not have a plug, nor could handle 15a power equipment. I took the advise of another buyer of the switch, and ordered a power cord that could handle the job. I found this cord that had the piggy back plug already attached which worked great. The 20 foot cord was a bit excessive for my uses, but I'm sure others would find it useful. All in all, this did exactly what I purchased it for!

Good Product

This product meets my expectations, is a big, robust wire, sure I last long, it is the first time that I buy ... definitely spend my expectations. I need more of these cables, if they come out good as I think I will buy more, the cost is very good

I have been looking all over for one of these piggyback cords that didn't cost as much, if not actually cost more, than buying one attached to a float switch. After adding a few to my wish list finally one day I saw these were less expensive and quickly ordered two. I don't use them for sump pumps, but rather for a speed control box used with various fans. It allows the controller to have one cord going to it rather than two and makes for a much neater install. This cord is nice and heavy duty and I'm quite pleased I was finally able to get my hands on some at a better price than I'd found online or locally.
