not deep and not shallow, very nice!

This price is way out! I do not understand. On July 2014 I purchased 4/28oz red banded bowls for $4.95 each, total 18.90 ! I would call Amazon as I believe this must be an error. Yes, I'd buy them at Walmart. Do know that these bowls also were an "add on" item, that would probably not be shipped free unless one purchases other Correlle items with it. I also bought the red-design/band dinner set with this. But as mentioned, you will find all at Walmart. We love the bowls, it is such a good size. Hope this helps.
