OpSite IV 3000 Dressing Part no. 4925 SMITH & NEPHEW INC. MMED-UNS4925 Box

I use these for my power port site, and they stick the best especially compared to Tegaderm. I am highly allergic to most brands of dressings I have tried, this one does cause redness, bumps, swelling and even open burns, if I have my port accessed for more than 2/3 weeks at a time. (Of course changing the dressing every 3-5 days). I may indeed be allergic to these as well, but the “process towards uncomfortableness” is slower with the IV3000. I now bring one of these in my purse in case I end up in the ER, because these are much more reliable than others I’ve tried. Especially the hospital tegaderm.I need to advise on the size of these. They can be confusing as they have another one that’s an inch or show larger on each side. That does make a difference for dressing sites for most people. This size comfortably protects an accused port site, and leaves my standard Huber access tube hanging about 8” outside of the dressing, when the dressing is placed centered on top of the site. Sometimes I place 2 flush against each other if I’ll be doing more physical activity to prolong the peeling process. The sides do peel up after a day or so.Overall, they work, and the price is decent. I like buying them here because Amazon is more trustworthy and my purchase is further protected than off of a random medical supply site. Just be careful on the size you need, always triple check it will cover the area in which you need it to.I recommend Alkair Adhesive Remover Wipes for when you are ready to take it off!

Excellent medical dressing for IV sites. The best product for longer term adhesive to your skin. I developed welts from hospital used tegaderm dressings and this product allows the skin to breath and not cause constant itching.

First time I order this they were the wrong ones. These are just like the ones I use from the hospital

provided safe and germ free coverage for the wound to heal. Recommended by my doctor and I highly recommend the product, much better than gauze.

I have super sensitive skin with adhesives, and had a port procedure done. These photos were taken 8 hours after the dressings went on. I have blisters and open skin. I don't know what's in these but they are not for sensitive skin! I had to change the dressing early because the inflammation from this patch was so bad. Tegaderm clear patches arefar superior. Less than an hour with the new sterile dressings and the redness and inflammation have calmed down.It's not just the sensitive cheat skin... I had a PICC line for 9 months prior to this, and they gave me rashes on my arms as well.Be your own best advocate, and say no to these.

I cannot use any kind of bandaid or adhesive. I have been using IV3000 for several years and it's sad that many hospitals and medical facilities have no idea what this is. Even places where I have been an inpatient (that is how I initially found out about this, yet they "don't know" about the product). So now I carry my own. Buy these, you won't be sorry. I have a port and it is perfect.
