Dependable Brand
I first bought the ThermoPro TP50 indoor thermometer about 6 or 7 years ago. It worked so well that I soon bought the TP60 indoor outdoor thermometer with the remote sensor. Later I bought a second TP60. When I get a new thermometer, I always check the accuracy against others that I have. All of these have shown a temperature of less than 1 degree of others that I trust, and humidity has been pretty close to each other. These have all been set on tabletops using the kickstand. I decided I wanted another ThermoPro to hang on the wall. For where I wanted it, I also wanted a little larger screen. I bought the ThermoPro TP62. It’s 3.2 wide x 3.9 high with a 3.3-inch screen compared to the others at 2.6 wide x 3.1 high with a 2.7-inch screen. Also, the TP62 has the control buttons on the front rather than the back which is good for a wall mount. If you are going to place the thermometer in a place where you want to read it in low light, the TP62 has a sensor on the top center that when touched lights the screen for a few seconds. Each of the ThermoPro thermometers I have are accurate and I think are going to last a long time. The batteries last 1 to 2 years, sometimes longer. I haven’t tried putting a sensor at the maximum range of 500 feet, but at 50 feet they read through multiple walls without fail. In normal room lighting they are all easy to read, but in low light or a dark room the TP62 screen will light up.

Very nice product, I recommend it.
Good product, I brought it for my elderly parents, it's easy to use, the numbers are big enough. Good value for money. Works fine.

This works and tells me my crawl space temperature and Humidity.
I bought this thing to monitor my crawl space temperature during these freezing storms. I've been dripping the faucets every night with temps down to 10 deg. F. This works and tells me my crawl space temperature and Humidity. I almost packed it up and returned it to amazon. When received the batteries in the package were dead. After 10 minutes of trying to make it work, I installed new batteries. OK they worked and the monitor synced with the remote temp probe. I was really thinking again about sending it back because the temperature was 10 deg. F higher than my room temp. I thought maybe the response time might be the issue. I put the probe in the freezer and monitored the room temp and the freezer temp. It took a few hours, but it finally looked like it was displaying representative temps. The room temp slowly reached the 70 deg. F that my thermostat was displaying. OK I'll keep it. I have 2 dehumidifiers in the crawl space that should be helping but I had no way of knowing. So, I attached a wire through the probe's hole for mounting, crawled under the house and hung the probe from one of the copper pipes. It's 5:30 pm with an outside temp of 33 deg. F and my crawl space 53 deg. F. I may not need to drip faucets at all. All doubt has been removed. BTW - I only gave 4 stars because the included batteries were dead on arrival.

Accurate with good display, good transmission and max-min feature
I was surprised how good this unit is after a month's use. The only feature I'm not sure of yet and which could affect future review is battery life, but so far it is much better than the Oregon Science unit it has replaced in that: • the sensor transmits easily from outside one end of the house to the room completely at the other end and through metal siding; the last unit could not do that • While initially I had the sensor indoors right next to the receiving unit and the indoor and outdoor temps differed by a few degrees, I found this was from handling the sensor. The difference went away with time. Outdoors, the sensor sends a temperature which is within one half degree of my expensive and accurate Davis Vantage View weather station. The two devices are in someone different places in the yard, one in sun the other not, but on cloudy, calm days when the readings should be the same, they are • The contrast on the display makes it very easy to read. The display unit is relatively small but the digits completely fill the whole screen and are readable from across the room • The backlight works very well with a tap in the center top of the display • The max-min feature is not explained well in the manual but works this way: you reset the max-min by holding that button for 5 seconds, then there is another button that gives you the choice of showing the max-min temps from the last time you did a reset or the max-min temps within 24 hours of that reset. So if you reset at 11:58 PM and use the 24 hour choice it gives you the max-min since the last 11:58 PM and then starts all over for the next 11:58 PM. It counts 24 hours internally. There is no clock. If you choose the “all time” setting instead of 24 hours, the max-min never resets and you will see the max-min since the last time you reset which could have been a month ago. The unit only operates in one of the max-min modes at a time. If you set it to "all time" you cannot display the 24 hour value. • The only”con” I would register is that there is no beep or other indication that the max-min reset has been successful. You can check to see if the max-min are both the current temp when you do the reset, but a beep would be nice.

works great
I use this thermometer in my greenhouse and monitor is in my house. It takes the heat of summer and works through the winter. It is very helpful in tracking what my plants are experiencing without constantly running to check. It is small enough to not use your valuable plant area

Excellent Thermostat
Once in a while you stumble on something that truly works great that you never knew you needed, and very inexpensive to boot. We have a greenhouse that we keep vegetable plants throughout the winter, along with summer plants and many variety of spice plants my wife uses to cook. Greenhouse is heated by a couple of electric heaters and a gas unit. We have experimented a lot, and are trying to go all electric this winter. The gas unit works well, however, the pilot light will go off at times for no reason at all. needless to say, walking in the greenhouse and finding it at very cold temps is not good for the plants, hence the switching to electric this winter. I was looking for a newer plain hanging thermostat to supplement an old one that is looking very bad. I stumbled on this one, read about it and the fact that it has a remote sensor to possibly view in the farm house away from the Greenhouse, and only $25, so what the heck. It says it has a 200' range, and the house is maybe 75-100' away. I was truly not expecting much, sounded too good to be true. I installed the batteries, got them synchronized in the Greenhouse, and started counting steps towards the house. my study is upstairs, and our farm house is a barn, built with a lot of metal for its frame. To finish the story, this gadget works perfectly, and I am looking at the temps in the green house, as well as my study. Never knew I needed this gadget and it is now a must have item for the greenhouse. You can buy additional transmitters for different locations as well. I believe it will handle three of them.

Accurate temp and humidity!
The Temp Pro unit works well for us: 1. It will display as F or C. The humidity info is helpful too. 2. Display unit has a stand for table use or a magnet attachment. Both work well. Transmitters use a screw slot to hang up. 3. The display unit will handle up to three transmitters: channels 1 - 3. 4. You can track trends in temp and humidity both indoor and out. It will also give you min or max numbers. 5. The display is easy to read; it lights up with the top button. 6. Display and sending units use two AA batteries each - inexpensive. This is recommended.

Temp difference.
The remote sensor doesn’t agree with an old school thermometer in the same location. Gives a higher temp by 8 degrees. Would get 5 stars if it was reasonably close. Old school matches other devices.

For those who always like to guess the temperature
It's my 2nd product from Thermopro, was happy with the first one and this one is just as good. The thermometer reading seems accurate as it is very close to Xiaomi air purifier's reading which is kept just 4-5 feet away. Connecting the outdoor unit/device with the main device was easy and seamless. Instructions are to the point and easily understandable. The only complaint I have is that from the pictures it appeared to be a bit bigger than it actually is. Apart from that, cannot think of anything bad about it. The built quality seems quite sturdy as well, just like their other device that I previously bought. Thermopro can mark me down as a happy and content customer.
