Soft Close Toilet Seat with Quick Release, Simple Top Fixing, Toilet Seats White with Adjustable Stainless Hinges, D Shape/U Shape Toilet Lid Loo Seat

To start with I was quite disappointed at how unsteady and wobbly the seat was and when the fittings actually came out of the holes in the toilet I was all set to order a new set of fittings but then after having another go at setting the seat in position I realised the only reason it wasn’t sturdy and it came loose was because I hadn’t tightened the fittings enough so after realigning the toilet seat (which is very quick & easy) and then tightening the fitting screws until they couldn’t possibly be tightened any further the seat is now as sturdy and stable as any toilet seat possibly could be. The soft close works perfectly and it is so easy to clean, even before removing the quick release seat, that it takes no time at all where as I had to completely disassemble my previous seat just to clean it and previous non-quick release seats haven’t been anywhere near as stable as this one. If I had more than 1 toilet I would be replacing all my toilet seats with this one!

Discovered my exiting toilet seat was cracked so needed a speedy replacement to avoid getting a nasty nip on the cheek!After recovering from shock at the cost of a replacement seat from the toilet manufacturer I found this one at a more reasonable price and was the right shape.New seat arrived the next day and was very well packed so arrived in pristine condition. As the previous seat was a top fitting design the whole replacement procedure was very straight forward and was completed in under 10 minutes.Although a square edged design rather than the curved edge of the previous seat it brings a more modern look to the toilet and looks a quality design.Soft close & quick release systems work well but only time will tell how robust the whole assembly is.Previous reviews mention difficulty with removing the seat & difficulty with latching to the fixing posts but I doubled checked the the centres between the fixings & the toilet seat matched and greased the top of the posts with a small amount of Silicone grease before assembly with the result the seat easily clicks into place and is very east to remove.Overall impressions are of a well made product that fits well, looks good and doesn’t cost an arm & a leg!

This is quite a chunky toilet seat. The lid is quite deep, and the seat solid - heavy duty? Yes! If you’re looking for something more refined or elegant (if there is such a possibility with the humble toilet seat!) then this isn’t for you! It seems quite robust, but I’ll reserve judgement! It was nice and easy and quick to fit. The only thing for me is that the plastic ‘bolts’ you insert seemed a little on the small side, which is ironic as reading other reviews I was worried they’d be too big! You do get a spare set, which is useful, but I hope that doesn’t mean they expect them to fail quickly! So, I’m not sure it feels quite as solidly fixed in place as the one it replaced. Time will tell. I like the single release button, which seems a little easier to use than the individual ones on the other toilet. However, it does feel a little like I’m going to pull the fixing plates out when I take the seat off, as you do need to pull quite firmly. Perhaps this will ease up in time. Removing the seat does make cleaning quicker though, so I’m in favour of it. Fits my d-shaped toilet well. Happy so far…..

This was pretty similar to the toilet seat we had before in terms of size and quality - and the last one was in for 13 years. Possibly not the finest quality but for the price I would say it is excellent. Reviews on £100 toilet seats are no better. The toilet seat attachments on the previous toilet were maybe better with metal nuts sitting inside the rawl plug (and the seat didn’t move at all) but these ones have chunkier screws and they seem to tighten up well - I’ll revise the review if they loosen and cause the seat to move. The instructions are clear but I did note that one reviewer said the rawl plugs were too long and initially I thought the same but you have to push them in firmly so the “wings” give a little making a snug fit. You just need to make sure that the screw sits in the grey plastic cup in the same position both sides to get an even position because not only can you turn the cups, you have some leeway where the screw sits in the horizontal slot. Tighten them slightly then swivel the cups to line up with seat holes. The prongs can be positioned to the back or the front depending how long/short your toilet is.I was nervous about buying the seat because it would have irritated me if it stuck out or was too short but it worked perfectly. Now I’m hoping it doesn’t move or crack. 5 stars so far.

Excellent product which fits well and very easy to install. Soft close is excellent and the ability to remove it quickly to clean the loo is ideal. Recommend.

The product quality is very good! Feels very solid and very easy to install too. However the soft-close effect last only 3 days and since the toilets seat made with high quality of material, it’s very heavy and it made a massive “banging” noise whenever we close the lid.

A good replacement kit. Worth the money too.Only took about 15 minutes to sort the instructions & fit.More solid than the old one it replaced.
