If the "Incredible Hulk" was a Tool...
This heavy-duty hammer-drill is an absolute BEAST!Seriously: it's been able to handle everything we've thrown at it, including auguring out 2" and 8" diameter postholes is dense, clay soil. Wow! To find something more powerful, you'd probably need to look at pneumatic power tools that require a large compressor. This DeWalt runs on their 20V batteries and the combination really packs a wallop. We've also used it in hammer-drill mode to drill through, and jackhammer away concrete, without any problems. It's just a Beast. We highly recommend buying yourself a kit of adapters so you can use regular drill bits (i.e. that go into a standard chuck) as well as different sizes of sockets for working on stubborn, large-size nuts and bolts. We also purchased a set of SDS tools that include a chisel, a spade blade, a pointy-tip (good for digging a hole or digging dried dirt off our excavator's tracks) and a jackhammer tip for busting up rocks/concrete/etc. Having those in the drill's case (there's room!) means you can knock down any tough job that pops up in your way.The box, battery and charger are of the highest quality and DeWalt's product design team placed all the switches and various parts of this drill in just the right places and even our staff members with small hands (ladies, I'm talking to you!) reported that it was "fun" to use. Absolutely worth the price. And, since we keep it nice and dry and clean in its case, this drill will last us for many, many years.

Awesome hammer drill
This Dewalt SDS Rotary Hammer Drill wasexactly what I needed to break up a granite boulder under my grass. I paired it with a 5/8“ x 12” bit and 10 feather and wedges. The granite caused a 2‘ x 2‘ dead section of grass. The drill went through the granite like butter, making 5 inch holes. Battery life was exceptional for the many holes I drilled. For those looking to go through stone/granite, I highly recommend an SDS rotary hammer drill, not the plain hammer drills. Also make sure you have an adequate number of feather and wedges because sometimes even after you bang them all down, you need to insert more of them to get it to split. I had 10 available and had seven in the rock at one time

Yellow & Black is the new Gold
I already own the corded Dewalt hammer drill and it does a fantastic job. Drills through concrete like cutting through butter with a hot knife. However, on some jobsites I would need to run up to a 100' extension cord to get power to my work area. My work van is loaded to the gills already and lugging around a 100' heavy duty (10-3) extension cord takes up valuable space. However, I was worried that the 20V version might not be as powerful as the corded version and I was also worried that the batteries wouldn't last through an entire job. I found out very quickly that my worries were misplaced. I already own several Dewalt 20V tools and all of them work fantastic but drilling holes in concrete can beat up wimpy tools. Not this baby. The first job I used this on was installing eight loading dock bumpers. Keep in mind that concrete mix at loading docks is extremely heavy duty to withstand trucks backing in and forklift traffic. To install eight bumpers I needed to drill 48 - 1/2" diameter holes about 7" deep. Not an easy task even for the corded version. This drill ran through 48 holes on one single battery charge and worked as good or better than the Dewalt corded version. It's more compact and I didn't have to worry about running extension cords. I normally don't get too excited about power tools but this tool got me excited. It's awesome. I wouldn't trade it for anything. So, if you need a hammer drill that holds up extremely well, doesn't need cords, is compact and drills into concrete like cutting through butter this is it. Look no further. You will NOT be disappointed. This is the gold standard in cordless hammer drills for sure. From this point on all my power tools will be yellow and black.

Great tool for light to mid duty use.
This is a great tool for light to mid duty use. Battery life is good and having the case is great with some extra room inside. Really wish Dewalt would make their chargers universal in some way so you could charge from a car charger.

Impressed
I've used it for drilling and chipping, so far it seems to do just as well as my Bosch corded hammer drill.

Awesome Product
Works as expected no complaints. I bought this after my previous drill went dead. I've never came across a wall that I cannot burst through with this product, very awesome. It however is rather heavy for working in high areas.
