2017: I have a serious problem. Again I misplaced the cases from 2015 AND 2016. So, I had to order this case a 3rd time. As soon as it arrived, I found the two previous orders. Duh... Anyway, obviously if I've bought the same thing three times I like it. It keeps my iPhone 7 dry and allows me to voice record notes. I'm sure I will be ordering another one in 2018 when I misplace the three I already have. 2016: So, here is my update. I foolishly misplaced this nifty case and when I discovered it missing I had to order a replacement before I took off for Ocean City, MD for my beach vacation. Got the very same model I purchased last year. Still just as watertight and reliable. I use my iPhone to record a verbal diary and even on the beach, in the wind, the audio is picked up just fine thru this case. And, I'm able to take photos thru it just fine as well. So, my addendum review is just as positive as my initial one. A good case. 2015: This thing worked great. I used it on a recent vacation to the shore where there was lots of salt water and lots of sand. I had previously had a Lifeproof case for my iPhone 5 but when I upgraded to the 6 Plus and read the terrible reviews of the corresponding Lifeproof case, I went with the JOTO. It was easy for me to use my phone in the case. I audio-record notes and, even in the stiff beach breeze, the phone picked up the sound just fine from inside the case. If I dropped the phone/case into the sand, I just rinsed the thing off and dried it with a towel and the phone was well protected. It is not a sleek case to carry in your pocket. I think of it more as a durable, outdoor protector. For my beach, kayaking and other potentially damp (and dirty) activities, I keep my JOTO at hand.

The case works really well. I tested it first with a piece of paper and nothing happened. From that time onwards I have used it at the beach and in swimming pools and works great.

Before I begin Please Note: I tested it out in my kitchen first by placing a tissue paper in the case and submerged it for a few hours, as risking my phone is something I am not comfortable with. And I strongly recommend testing it like this before using each time to ensure their are no unseen holes or tears in the case from usage. My GF purchased this on my account for our vacation so it was used on the beach, in the pool and in the open ocean! I also did daily checks for a few minutes in the hotel sink we were at to ensure our active lifestyle did not break it and give me a bad surprise down the road. Pro- Its really waterproof! Worked great in the pool, on the beach and even in the ocean. I took pictures with my iPhone 6S with no issues as well as with my GF's Galaxy S6. Pictures were clear and those that weren't it was nothing a little quick cleaning of the plastic could not fix. I even took pictures in a pool from underwater and they came out great! Cons- MY GF surprised me and decided to go Scuba Diving. I am certified and she is not and was always sacred to try, and thought this would work best. While it protected my phone, I could not unlock, swipe or take pictures. The water pressure sealed it in but it also made it useless to use the touch screen. However in fairness I do not think it was truly designed for that but I am happy to report that it does work even in deep water. Final judgement: For the price ($7.99 at the time of this review) its totally worth it for any vacation or trip to protect your phone from water and other damage. Very useful for pool, beach and shallow water swimming for both water and sand. I recommend it for parents with kids so they can take some nice pics at the water parks and such as it certainly held together the whole week with no issues. I have nieces and nephews I will use this with. If you want something for Scuba Diving, I recommend either another product or placing the phone on video record for the whole dive and just edit the video when you get home. FYI- This review was written only a week after returning from vacation, so the information was fresh in my mind.

Took with me to Punta Cana for my 50th birthday and was great for keeping my phone on me since I was in my swimming suit most of the time. Kept phone safe and dry, even survived a very muddy ATV excursion. Came in handy for at the airport so I could have access to my phone, it was secure around my neck and kept me hands free. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21+ and it fits perfectly in the pouch. Locking mechanism creates a tight seal that is waterproof.

Used this for the Blue Lagoon- worked perfectly! I tested in water before I used it to be sure.

LOVE IT!!! I used this case when we went to Negril, Jamaica. We spent 7 days there and were at the beach everyday. I used the case in the water swimming so I could have it with me. I had it under water 5 of the 7 days taking video and a few photos. I think the clarity was pretty good, all things considered. The temperature was in the low to mid 70's each day with only the last day in the upper 60's due to rain storm . I saw a few drops of moisture form at one point. I opened it up, wiped it out, closed it up and it never happened again. The case was under water doing video while swimming and while on a glass bottom boat ride. Even though we had the glass bottom boat, I wanted to see what I could see away from us as well. Even with the boat moving fairly quick and in waves, it never leaked. I kept it in the case while we went parasailing. We had never gone before and I wasn't sure how jerky the ride would be. It turned out super smooth but I keep the phone in the case, just in case I dropped it. Finding it would be unlikely but you never know. I also added a bright colored floating key ring to it if I did drop. The floating key ring would have keep the phone at the surface if needed. I tested it along the shore before we got in the boat. To my surprise, our first day in Jamaica at the beach, we saw over a dozen people using waterproof cell phone cases, and I can honestly say that I only remember seeing one that was not a JOTO case. That made me feel better. I spoke to a few of the couples using them and no one had any problems with them leaking either. This phone was in and out of the case many times and I just wanted to take the best photos I could and even with all the opening and resealing, it stayed dry every time. If I had to count, I had to have opened it and resealed it well over 50 times. It was just a great way to keep my phone with me and not keeping it in a wet pocket. PROS: It didn't leak, clarity was good, no major issues with moisture and it didn't break. My Galaxy S8 with the Otter Box case around it and it fit (only the rubber case). I even had money and a credit card stored in it one night. Touch sensitivity was very good out of the water. CONS: Only a moment of moisture which could easily be my fault. I wish the necklace was stronger. It didn't break but I felt like a stronger cord would be better. Touchscreen did not work well under water. Adjusting the touch sensitivity might have fixed it but I didn't try. If you worry about the cord, you can buy a lanyard with a key ring. I bought one in case my broke but I didn't need it. RECOMMENDATION: I did what other reviews said. I tested this at home in the kitchen sink. I put paper towels in it to test the case. Then I test my phone in it just to be sure and everything was fine. OVERALL: Highly satisfied and would absolutely buy this product again!!!

First off, it worked from the standpoint that I submerged my Samsung Note 4 in the Ocean, maybe down to 10 feet or so, and the phone never got wet. The reason for my 3 star rating is simply a practical usability factor. I noticed that when I was submerged, I had a difficult time getting the phone to react to my actions. It was difficult to get it to do what I wanted. Between "snorkels," I got back on the boat and changed the sensitivity of my touch screen, but that didn't seem to help. I don't know if it was the pressure of the water, or the air trapped in the case that might have caused this. 2nd, and this is a personal issue that might be a personal issue for you as well. What is your age?! Do you have to have reading glasses? I wore my contacts, maybe for obvious reasons (my glasses won't fit under a diving mask). This presented a big issue...I couldn't read the screen to see what I was doing! I would say that normally, that is completely my fault. However, the case itself creates a glare from the plastic, so my lack of vision became nearly impossible. I couldn't see well enough to unlock my phone, so I unlocked it on the boat and set the expiration for a long period of time. When I got back into the water, I just kept touching the screen constantly so that I was taking pictures continuously. So, did I get some pictures of fish? Yes. Did the case protect my phone. Yes. But here's the kicker. Were the pictures worth it or really any good? No. Nor was the hassle. I take the blame though. Should you bother trying to take underwater pictures on your dive or snorkel trip with your smart phone. Nahhh. Forget it. Not worth the hassle. But, I did like the fact that while we were ON THE BOAT, the camera was safely around my neck and protected from spray, dropping into puddles of water, etc. So, maybe it was worth the purchase, and maybe it will work better for you.

I have a Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, i've had the A54; A53; A52, and they all died i did some stupid thing with water, trusting that their "waterproof" rating was real, it's not, Samsung waterproofing is a scam; This pocket though... it just works, you won't be able to make all the prettiest videos under the water, but your water is completely safe
