2017: I have a serious problem. Again I misplaced the cases from 2015 AND 2016. So, I had to order this case a 3rd time. As soon as it arrived, I found the two previous orders. Duh... Anyway, obviously if I've bought the same thing three times I like it. It keeps my iPhone 7 dry and allows me to voice record notes. I'm sure I will be ordering another one in 2018 when I misplace the three I already have. 2016: So, here is my update. I foolishly misplaced this nifty case and when I discovered it missing I had to order a replacement before I took off for Ocean City, MD for my beach vacation. Got the very same model I purchased last year. Still just as watertight and reliable. I use my iPhone to record a verbal diary and even on the beach, in the wind, the audio is picked up just fine thru this case. And, I'm able to take photos thru it just fine as well. So, my addendum review is just as positive as my initial one. A good case. 2015: This thing worked great. I used it on a recent vacation to the shore where there was lots of salt water and lots of sand. I had previously had a Lifeproof case for my iPhone 5 but when I upgraded to the 6 Plus and read the terrible reviews of the corresponding Lifeproof case, I went with the JOTO. It was easy for me to use my phone in the case. I audio-record notes and, even in the stiff beach breeze, the phone picked up the sound just fine from inside the case. If I dropped the phone/case into the sand, I just rinsed the thing off and dried it with a towel and the phone was well protected. It is not a sleek case to carry in your pocket. I think of it more as a durable, outdoor protector. For my beach, kayaking and other potentially damp (and dirty) activities, I keep my JOTO at hand.

Before I begin Please Note: I tested it out in my kitchen first by placing a tissue paper in the case and submerged it for a few hours, as risking my phone is something I am not comfortable with. And I strongly recommend testing it like this before using each time to ensure their are no unseen holes or tears in the case from usage. My GF purchased this on my account for our vacation so it was used on the beach, in the pool and in the open ocean! I also did daily checks for a few minutes in the hotel sink we were at to ensure our active lifestyle did not break it and give me a bad surprise down the road. Pro- Its really waterproof! Worked great in the pool, on the beach and even in the ocean. I took pictures with my iPhone 6S with no issues as well as with my GF's Galaxy S6. Pictures were clear and those that weren't it was nothing a little quick cleaning of the plastic could not fix. I even took pictures in a pool from underwater and they came out great! Cons- MY GF surprised me and decided to go Scuba Diving. I am certified and she is not and was always sacred to try, and thought this would work best. While it protected my phone, I could not unlock, swipe or take pictures. The water pressure sealed it in but it also made it useless to use the touch screen. However in fairness I do not think it was truly designed for that but I am happy to report that it does work even in deep water. Final judgement: For the price ($7.99 at the time of this review) its totally worth it for any vacation or trip to protect your phone from water and other damage. Very useful for pool, beach and shallow water swimming for both water and sand. I recommend it for parents with kids so they can take some nice pics at the water parks and such as it certainly held together the whole week with no issues. I have nieces and nephews I will use this with. If you want something for Scuba Diving, I recommend either another product or placing the phone on video record for the whole dive and just edit the video when you get home. FYI- This review was written only a week after returning from vacation, so the information was fresh in my mind.

Worked great. It's hard to see under water with the sun above you. But, I just pointed and shot and it came out great for the most part. As everyone before said, it is hard to press the button under water. So, you have to press the video button prior to taking it underwater.

Took with me to Punta Cana for my 50th birthday and was great for keeping my phone on me since I was in my swimming suit most of the time. Kept phone safe and dry, even survived a very muddy ATV excursion. Came in handy for at the airport so I could have access to my phone, it was secure around my neck and kept me hands free. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21+ and it fits perfectly in the pouch. Locking mechanism creates a tight seal that is waterproof.

I bought two cases, one for my Galaxy S7 Edge and one for my girlfriend's Moto Z, for our trip to Kauai last week. I was a little skeptical when I received it.... it was so inexpensive, and so simple, that I wasn't sure it was going to work well. My first test was to put a piece of paper into the case and submerge it... and to my surprise, it stayed totally dry! Fast forward to Kauai, and we put these cases through the test! From kayaking, to hiking, to playing in the waves at the beach, this case was phenomenal! I could not believe I was swimming in rivers, jumping off of waterfalls, and body surfing, with an $800 phone around my neck! Picture quality was absolutely perfect! (See the attached video of my phone being submerged in the Wailua River.) Sound quality on recordings was very good, but not perfect. And most importantly, my phone was safe the entire time. I was even able to take phone calls from the ocean, although sound quality during a call did suffer. We also used the cases while hiking through muddy a muddy rain forest, and on an extremely dusty ATV tour. Every time, the phones came out perfectly dry and clean, and we got amazing photo's and video. We had one issue with my girlfriend's Moto Z. She didn't quite shut the case all the way, and ended up with some moisture inside her case while we were body surfing in the ocean, but not enough to damage the phone. I STRONGLY recommend this case! ONE WORD OF CAUTION... While this case will protect your phone from the elements... it does not float! So, if you drop your phone, it will be safe and in perfect working order... at the bottom of whatever body of water you are in. If you are going to be in swift or deep water, I would recommend some type of flotation key chain strong enough to keep your phone at the surface.

The case works fine to keep water out either on land or under water. But it is not usable for taking pictures or photos while snorkeling or diving. Once it is under water, the touch screen functions will not work.
